This was the root of the controversy. Earlier today, George Soros funded Media Matters jumped on the fact that we sold tickets to cover the cost of the event as evidence that we and Fox were "profiting" on the event.

Makes sense. If Hannity were announcing that tickets needed to be purchased, then its a bit lame for Fox to have backed out for such a reason. Only thing I heard was the even organizer saying that any overage of proceeds would go back into the Cincinnati Tea Party coffers. What else were they supposed to do with them? I suppose they could give them to a charity somewhere, but then people would be whining that nobody had authorized them to do that. The left is scared to death at the Tea Parties and they should be. They are the one true threat to the coup. And, united, they will win.
