For 20 seconds on Thursday, President Obama basked in applause from donors in Miami when he mocked the nationwide Tea Party rallies that caused an eruption of angst on Tax Day.
"I've been a little amused over the last couple of days where people have been having these rallies about taxes. You would think they would be saying thank you," Obama said to a group of Democratic supporters who shelled out between $250 and $1250 to attend.
But it remains unclear who will get the last laugh: the president or the Tea Party?
"What the president said last night was arrogant and smug and a perfect example of why the Tea Party is so intense and so organized" said Republican strategist Terry Holt
Democratic strategist Peter Mirijanian defended Obama's statement by saying if you take a look at the middle class voters, contrary to protesters' claims, you'll see that their income levels and their taxes have actually not gone up.

It's selfish for you Freepers to complain about the taxes you pay in order for us Rats to pass out pork

He’s right about the income levels.

Well it’s hard to argue against the part of that statement that says income levels have not gone up. But I wouldn’t call it a strong defense of Obama’s policies. The intellect of the Dem strategists matches that of Obama’s rank and file supporters.
"Have I not supported ACORN, SEIU, al qaeda, Hamas, Hizb'allah
and my other 57 states? Have I not given myself a
brand new helicopter that will resist the nuclear attacks I invite?
Have I not given myself the finest beefs? How can you complain?"
What hogwash. The man would put a bubble like the one in the Simpsons movie over DC, and listen to the echoes of his teleprompter's rhetoric and the applause from those who think like him all day if he could. He wants nothing more than to be in a position where no one who disagrees with his point of view is allowed to speak in his presence--in other words, he wishes the world could be one big faculty meeting at Harvard, where he gets to edit the law review without having to publish, and no one will pop his fantasy bubble that it's because he's just so awesome.
Sorry I'm rambling, this guy's given me a headache.
It's about much more than taxes.
Keep talking, King George...you arrogant pus-bag.
No, he amuses me ... not.
Why do people have to post pictures of this a-hole? I can’t stand to look at his arrogant face.
My favorite line was how 1/3 of the stimulus monies were used to lower taxes.
Surely no one is that much of a dumbass?
In his mind he's thinking, isn't Robin Hood suppose to be popular?
bill oreilly has obama birth certificate!..

Yes, it is also about the financial trainwreck that is just around the corner for this country. The Tea Party protests, like anguished screams in the night, are both a warning of impending doom, and an impassioned plea for help and a return to fiscal sanity.
What a “Let them eat cake.” comment.
Amused is not truthful, Fear, mortal fear, of actual failure is the truth.
His presidency is sour
Those crazy protestors
just don’t want to pay more taxes
What’s the matter with them?
Do ya think we need to explain it again to ‘em?
Or arrest them?
I mean the camps will be designed to hold 25,000,000
should be enough
Don’t let ‘em see that video .....

“”The protests on Tax Day is one thing to stage,” Mirijanian said.”It’s another thing to mobilize and vote. That’s the true test.””
He’s thrown down the gauntlet. He’s sticking his finger in our face and telling us that we won’t defeat them in November.
