Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) campaign is attacking former Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-Ariz.) again for being a "birther."

A new Web video from McCain's campaign casts Hayworth as a loony right-winger who suggests the president was born in Kenya and thinks gay marriage will lead to marriage between men and horses.

"I've committed to exposing the secret Kenyan brithplace of the president of the United States," the fake Hayworth says. "Second, I've stood up against the grave threat of man-horse marriage."

The video is a parody of a Hayworth ad, pretending to promote the candidate's positions on those issues. McCain has previously attacked the challenger for his comments suggesting Obama should prove his citizenship.

I guess I am a birther. I don't live in Arizona, but if I did, I would consider McCain's birther remark an insult, and so I probably would not vote for McCain if I lived in Arizona.

Poor McCain. He seems to have forgotten that if he had forced Obama and Hawaii officials to release Obama's long form Hawaii birth certificate during the 2008 presidential campaign, he might be President of the United States today, because Obama's long form birth certificate probably contains information that, in my opinion, could hurt Obama politically and legally.

For instance, I strongly believe that Obama's Hawaii long form birth certificate does NOT have a hospital doctor signature or a hospital name on it.

Given that McCain has spent the last ten years running for president, with more time in Iowa & N.H. than Arizona, I thought it would be interesting to see just how often 'the maverick' bothers to show up for Senate votes.

Well, guess what, as bad as Obama was, McCain was even worse. [snip]Sen. But for the entire year, McCain has missed 79 more votes than Obama; since January, McCain has missed 212 out of 403 (52.6%) roll-call votes in the 110th Congress, while Obama has missed 133 out of 403 (33.0%) roll-call votes.

According to the Washington Post's votes database, McCain has "missed 367 votes (61.4%) during the current Congress." In fact, CQ reports today that McCain hasn't voted in the Senate since April 8.

On the other hand, J.D. Hayworth has missed only 1% of his votes in congress
