McCAIN: My view is you need a physical fence. But we all know that unless physical fences are surveilled, and then people just punch holes in them. And so I saw in Iraq on my visit there that their ability to serveil areas is that we have the technology now.

McCAIN: After the border is secured, then obviously we have to address the issue of the 12 million people who are still in this country illegally. I don't know what ... American public opinion will take. But one of the key elements, as was in our previous legislation, is a legal temporary worker program.
Now, it's just a fact that the unions have long opposed a legal temporary worker program. And I respect their reasons for it, I just don't agree with it.
So the president has not come forward with a proposal for immigration reform. (Sens. Charles) Schumer and (Lindsey) Graham have talked about parameters for them, and other people have. But one of the reasons why he hasn't is because the unions don't want a legal temporary worker program.
And they know that none of us will support any reform unless it has a temporary worker program in it. And by the way, I'd be glad to go into the details on how it is very workable to make sure that people don't stay here.

Hey Rabs,
When are you going to be as unrelentless and honest about Ron Paul’s (Your guy) Ethical problems with loading bills he knows are going to pass up with Pork and then voting against the bill?
How about you being honest about his endorsement and tight associations with of all the left-wing Anti-War and Anti-American politicians/activists?
Until then, Hypocrite is your name buddy!
Time to grow up, be honest and objective.
Hadn’t thought of pirahna’s. Excellant idea to add to the mixture, and keep them starving.
McCain is a political Chameleon, and thereby is unreliable in almost any situation, or on any question. He has worked hard to earn our distrust, and deserves banishment to the political scrapheap. At the very least the 2010 election cycle will be a reality call for him.
Sarah Palin has effectively placed her dog collar on this rascal, in the event of his re-election, and her ascendancy to the Presidency in 2013......at over 70, John is getting more toothless by the year....LOLOLOLOL
TaTa John, have a nice retirement. You’ve “earned” it....
Go JD!
Why don’t you start your own Paul threads? NOBODY CARES! You have to be the biggest LOSER on FR. We all know you financially benefit from the illegals.
McCain actually said this just a few days ago.
President Reagan granted amnesty to two million people and that was wrong, McCain said.

Is Ron Paul running in this year's Arizona Senate election?
The US Marine Corps deploys the system designated Ground-Based Operational Surveillance System (G-BOSS) employing two cameras, a radar and a radio link to a remote ground station. The Amry's Base Expeditionary Targeting and Surveillance Systems - Combined (BETSS-C) uses a single camera.
RAID generally utilizes EO/IR sensors, radars, flash and acoustic gunshot detectors, to provide persistent, panoramic surveillance of the covered area, providing timely warning of potential threats and other events valued for intelligence purposes. The main sensor is an EO/IR payload, carrying a laser rangefinder, designator and target marker. In some configurations, radar, RF signal interceptors or gunshot detectors are employed, providing a primary scanning sensor pointing the EO/IR payload to points of interest, where movement or suspicious actions are detected. Other sensors can cue the RAID as well, including counter mortar radars such as the LCMR, which detects mortar attacks and can cue the RAID in seconds.
Exactly. I supported Duncan Hunter, as did SJB, but we never hear our posts and comments questioned on the grounds of “oh, you’re just a Duncan Hunter supporter”.
McAmnesty will change his mind the day after the election.
I wish you were right, I think it has more to do with McCain swaying to his voters angst. I doubt he has much conviction about anything.
No, but she is campaigning for McCain.
I suspect it's more than 1 in 3 that would move here, but even so, that's roughy 37 million people, 18.5 million of which ADMIT to being perfectly wiling to do so illegally. When almost 20 million people are willing to come over your border against your will to carve out a new life for themselves, that's not immigration, that's an invasion.
“Exactly. I supported Duncan Hunter, as did SJB, but we never hear our posts and comments questioned on the grounds of oh, youre just a Duncan Hunter supporter.”
They just call names and lie. What else can they do?
She is campaigning for McCain in a primary election where there is an actual conservative running.
What a mediocre politician.
“No, but she is campaigning for McCain.
So? “
