Polish president dies in air crash
A plane carrying Lech Kaczynski, the Polish president, has crashed near Smolensk airport in western Russia, killing all on board, Russian officials have reported.
Polish officials confirmed on Saturday that Kaczynski was on board the flight with his wife, as well as Slawomir Skrzypek, the president of Poland's central bank, Andrzej Kremer, the deputy foreign minister and the army chief of staff.
The crash occurred about 1.5km from Smolensk airport in foggy conditions.
This is a terrible tragedy! Words really cannot describe what I am feeling right now. I pray that they passed away in peace to the outstretched arms of Jesus, the self-sacrificing Lamb of God, who welcomed them into His eternal kingdom of paradise. Our bodies are temporary but our souls can last forever. These important officials by our standards died too soon but to God He has called them Home in His own timing. We may never understand why this occurred, but there are aspects of God we will never completely comprehend. I pray for all of the family and friends of these individuals and I grieve along with the entire nation of Poland.

Actually. he had been the best President of Poland so far. Before him...only Jan Sobieski, 300 years ago, comes to my mind.

Keep an eye on the aftermath. Strange things have been known to happen, for example:
“Shelley Kelly , the flight attendant on the (Ron Brown)aircraft, walked onto the rescue helicopter with minor cuts and bruises. However, upon arrival at the hospital, it was found that she had bled to death on the way.”
“Three days after the crash and two days before his scheduled interview by the Air Force, the Croatian responsible for the airport’s navigation system is found with a bullet hole in his chest.”

The New York Post, in its (TWA Fl 800) story of September 22, 1996, reported,
Law-enforcement sources said the hardest evidence gathered so far overwhelmingly suggests a surface-to-air missile...
The FBI interviewed 154 “credible” witnesses — including scientists, schoolteachers, Army personnel and business executives — who described seeing a missile heading through the sky just before TWA 800 exploded.
“Some of these people are extremely, extremely credible,” a top federal official said.
FBI technicians mapped the various paths — points in the sky where the witnesses said they saw the rising “flare-like” object — and determined that the “triangulated” convergence point was virtually where the jumbo jet initially exploded.

What a terrible tragedy and loss for what is left of free Europe.

There is the pure laziness involved. They have these shows planned it seems and covering breaking news is hard I guess. There is always the suspicion, however, since they are almost all so in the tank for or afraid of Obama that they try to show us mostly what he wants as he wants it.

Putin is returning Russia to its commie past. I’m suspicious he had something to do with this plane crash. Harks back to post WWII when the Kremlim killed off Eastern European anti-communist leaders.
My thoughts too. How can something like this happen in the modern age? So many important and good leaders on that plane as well. Not very good risk management to say the least. I fear Russia is ‘acting out’ because they see weakness in the US right now.

We are waiting for Steve’s father to wake up today, it’s still early in Chicago, he will awake to devastating news just like all of Poland. I cannot express our grief this morning, there are no words.
