Freaky Physics Proves Parallel Universes Exist
Foxnews.com ^ | April 5, 2010 | John Brandon

Look past the details of a wonky discovery by a group of California scientists -- that a quantum state is now observable with the human eye -- and consider its implications: Time travel may be feasible. Doc Brown would be proud.

The strange discovery by quantum physicists at the University of California Santa Barbara means that an object you can see in front of you may exist simultaneously in a parallel universe -- a multi-state condition that has scientists theorizing that traveling through time may be much more than just the plaything of science fiction writers.

There are no parallel universes.

Is it really time travel if the universe you’re travelling back or forward in time in is not your own?

Haven’t you ever heard of the multiverse or the megaverse?

Quantum physics is a lot of fun until someone starts randomly poisoning cats.

Time travel may be feasible.

I'm still waiting to be able to say, "Beam me up, Scotty!"

It may well be fascinating but I suspect this theory will be challenged by other scientists. I also suspect that the ‘parallel universe’ theory is a handy way to call the biblical account of creation a lie. I’m not buying it.

To you it would be but not to others that aren’t part of the time travel with you.

This is some odd stuff.

Pseudo Science if you ask me.

If this object in front of me can exist in mutiple universes, why am I able to move that object in more than one universe if I, myself, do not share those other universes?

I read a freaky variation on this theory a while back: Everyone is immortal. Whenever someone dies in one universe, another universe branches off in which they didn’t die. They appear dead to people in the original universe, but they continue to exist in the other one. Everyone lives forever inside an infinite number of parallel universes.
