Thanks for asking about our seniors.
I just talked with the facility, and the staff person in charge said they were all fine.
Whew! I’m relieved.

Wow.
I was sittin on my rear end, which happened to be on my couch this morning about 12:20
I felt a tiny motion - like getting moved north and eighth of an inch - then nothing.
But I heard my whole house kinda shudder, and as soon as it happened, I started hitting the USGS pages. But nothing showed up so I took a nap.
Also, at the same time, the local population of crows, which is pretty large, they were raisin one heck of a protest! Screamin and cacklin!

We shall see, quite the quake, so it should have interesting implications.

Water was splashing 2-3 ft high out of the swiming pool here in Temecula...
This is a perfect example of (hysteria?) exaggeration. There was no violent shaking in California, let alone anything to cause the above.
You could be at dead-center epicenter of a 7.2, and you wouldn't have "2-3 feet high splashes".

I am not sure exactly. Often they are deep, sometimes MILES underground. I don’t know what difference it would make, but it seems like a shallow quake would feel stronger because it has less distance to travel to reach the surface.
Just a thought.

Dachshunds are good dogs..what adorable names..Pigg, how cute..how did you come up with that one? Nemo my sister named after the Finding Nemo movie, how ironic that he is allergic to fish..Maxie, well, he was born a Max because we got him from the family down the street, they did not want to have him anymore so we took him..he’s a good boy, just misunderstood, especially with the barking business, WOW he barks, A LOT..speaking of chew toys, we got them all over the house, giraffe’s, bones(Big bones, small bones) bears, you name it, we got it..they love chew toys that squeak, if it doesn’t squeak, they don’t care

So Cal has earthquakes everyday. But usually too small to feel. I don’t feel anything under a 5.0

I guess at 21 feet, you wouldn’t have felt it in Southern California.
