University of Wyo. cancels William Ayers speech

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) -- The University of Wyoming has canceled a speech by former 1960s radical William Ayers after it raised hundreds of objections from citizens and politicians over the man who became an issue in the 2008 presidential campaign.

In a statement released by the university, UW President Tom Buchanan supported the decision to cancel Ayers.

Oh I'll just bet the leftists/liberals are going to be in high dudgeon complaining about how the University of Wyoming has denied Billie-boy Ayers his fundamental first amendment rights, and how this is part of the VWRC to oppress and silence the left. Nothing said vis-a-vis Ann Coulter and the leftist/liberal mob that shut her down with threats of imminent violence to persons and property up in Ottawa, of course.

Interesting how people complained by writing letters and speaking out. There was no violence and presumably no threats. If Ayers had spoken I doubt any right wing groups would have confronted him with intimidation. Compare that to how Karl Rove was treated recently. Or the tea party rally in Searchlight NV.

As Pat Buchanan said too, we hear a lot of nonsense about right wing violence and hate. Yet “the One” his own self is friends with a lefty who blew up buildings and doesn’t regret it.

....hmmm ...the AP FAILED to mention that Ayers assisted as a Ghost Writer for Obama’s books ... as acknowledged in Michelle Obama’s book.
