(This is NEWS - Please Keep This in Breaking News, Admin Moderators. It is not about "religion". It is about Current Events!)
1 Thessalonians 4: 13 - 18:
But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
Therefore comfort one another with these words.

It doesn’t involve a rapture, I know that much. I’ll defer anything else about that to someone else.

Why even mention that "the dead in Christ will rise first" if it were an event that no one would know had happened? To tell us that it would happen, otherwise we wouldn't know.
If you read the whole passage, instead of just that verse, you'll see that Paul is reassuring the believers about the fate of their loved ones who had already died.

Yes, and perhaps not. I don't think we're quite at that juncture yet, so claiming the year it might happen in is a bit of a stretch.
I do believe that we're in the last period of time, though. The establishment of the state of Israel in 1948 was a hugely important biblical event, and the fall of the U.S. from global domination, as we are seeing right now thanks to the actions of the current administration, will usher in a new era of lawlessness and instability - a perfect opening for the anti-christ to make his move and proclaim that he alone has the answer for peace.
Our future is going to be very interesting, to say the least.

Someone just always has to be more “spiritual” than everyone else and preach at them about what they think everyone else ought to be doing, don’t they?
Why should we stop trying to read the signs when Jesus Himself gave us the signs and told us to watch and pray?
Sorry, I’m listening to Him over you.

"....His coming for His Beloveds - His Church - Which is all those who Belong to Him and who are alive at the time He Returns in the Clouds to call His Own to Meet Him in the Air - is very very near! Perhaps even this year!....."
I am just as Christian as you are, my FR friend- but let me gently remind you...."no man knoweth the day or the hour...."
Stuff like this results in creating even more religions, or at least, crazed looking men on the corner of Hollywood & Vine with placards proclaiming: Repent: The End is Near!!

Hey, even a stopped clock is right twice a day. The Bible tells us that there will be an end to life as we know it. However, I don’t believe that God put us on Earth just to plan for the rapture. We must live, and live by God’s word.

Thanks. As a Christian who is staunchly “agnostic” as to the whole millennialism debate, I have used this quote many times and will doubtless use it many more.

I am a saved Christian and believe in the Second Coming.
Ditto. I don't believe we can know when, and I don't believe we should even try to know that precisely. Jesus Himself said that only the Father knows.
