Earth Hour Alert: at 8:30 PM (your time) turn on ALL your lights. In honor of Earth Hour, I am asking All willing Freepers to turn on All your lights, turn up your heat and turn on the a/c to cool it down, due a few loads of wash, start up every computer, make a few loaves of bread in the bread machine...if you have one, put a spot light in your yard. It is my understanding that the success or lack of it will be measured by how much electric wattage was used in that hour and satellite pictures of the earths darkness.
I may also idle my car the whole time as well.
I don’t believe in Global Warming.
I don’t believe that turning our lights out for an hour will help save the planet.
But I don’t believe in needless waste either....
Forgive me if I do not partake in this event. There is a basketball game on.
There will be so many houses on around my place, I hope some planes don’t think it is an airport.
hey if you are watching it, you have your electric on...dribble on
Musta worked since Global Fraud has ended and the earth has been cooling.
Pray for America
Update your Facebook status to remind people how technology helps their lives.
Also, a good thing to remind people of is that the power spike from everyone turning all their lights back on after Earth Hour uses more electricity than what they saved turning them off during that time. Sidney actually had a ‘brown out’ after one Earth Hour from the power spike.
Roger that.
Throw an extra tire or two on the fire, sit back, and enjoy the ambiance.
I’m turning on the lights, then I’m drinking a toast to Tom Edison and the folks who run the local power plant!
I may even take a bath
Light on!!!!!!
Lights on; power up; like last year!

Force of Darkness “Earth Hour” Challenged by Power of Light “Human Achievement Hour”
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2481138/posts
The Competitive Enterprise Institute, a leading free-market think tank, will celebrate the Second Annual “Human Achievement Hour” between 8:30pm and 9:30pm on Saturday, March 27, 2010.
“Earth Hour’s creators suggest that human inventions and technology are a problem, but we see the ability to create and innovate as the ultimate resource,” says Human Achievement Hour founder and CEI Policy Analyst Michelle Minton. “Environmental challenges will not be solved by turning off our lights and symbolically hiding in the dark,” Minton added. “If anything, we should be looking to technology and innovation to help solve environmental problems.”
Sorry—I’ll keep the rebellion in the heart and mind against these morons. I’m not using up more electricity just to fork over more to the Power Co. I feel they are already ripping me off some as it is...
