The libs never let the Senate recess as they graveled the session open and then quickly adjourned. When Repubs take the Senate in November, the same be policy, and Becker should be hauled before committee after committee to testify for the remainder of his term.

Becker already was voted on in the Senate and failed.

He’s not only sticking it to the American people, he’s sticking it the Democrats in the Senate as well.

The only proper word to describe this man is “asshole.”

Don't let this annoy you. Ronald Reagan made over 200 recess appointments during his two terms in office.

Not really news worthy other than the type of people appointed.

The count of “what Bush did” at an equivalent point is a specious argument (and blankety blank blank blank, MSM, for making me even use that phrase). You must consider the qualifications and quality of the nominees before you have an apples-to-apples comparison. Were the Senators delaying the appointment simply to thwart the President out of pique or because the candidates really, really suck? With Pres__ent Obama, it is clearly the latter.

He barely got health care through. He’s still a lame duck. A very dangerous lame duck.

People shouldn’t be that upset about recess appointments as they do happen all the time. The only comparable thing George Bush did was the recess appointment of John Bolton. While Bolton was denied cloture twice, the vote totals and the makeup of the Senate were different from what it was when Becker was voted on.

I remarked to a friend of mine that I had to give the Ds credit. I never thought they’d put someone in the White House that I could hate more than Clinton. They did it.

I just loathe this guy and his whole family and entourage. The dog is the only one I like.

I GUARANTEE that very very few if any of odumbo’s appointee’s including odumbo himself could pass even the most basic FBI background check for even an entry level security clearance.

We may not be a banana republic YET, but our government is already there.

I don't disagree with you, but it is this vermin's prerogative to make these appointments....one can only hope that the damage they do, will be fodder for folks to vote against Marxism (read Marxism as the POSOTUS).

That dog was for show. I guarantee there’s no nasty dog in that family. Think about it. Bush’s dog was always on camera as was Clinton’s. But this dog must be invisible. Bottom line is the dog was to his followers something to throw back at people who says he’s a muslim.

Not entirely correct. Obama would never walk into the ovens. He’d just tell them to walk in on their own.

As far as I understand it, Snowe was the single Repub vote to release the health bill from committee.

Apparently, only one minority vote is needed in such a case.

Bad legacy for her.

She voted for a the Baucus bill out of committee, but her vote wasn’t needed to release it to the Senate.

When it came to the actual Senate bill which was later written by Harry Reid, she voted against it every time.

I read just this morning that it was.

Not that it made a difference as far as getting a majority. But I read that they needed one Repub vote. Don't know for sure if that's true.

I know that she voted against it consistently thereafter.

they always wanted her vote of course, but they certainly didn’t need it. the committees are stacked with Dems.

The POS is saying it is because the republicans blocked him. How the he** can they block his appointments? He is doing this because he wants to and doesn’t want to go through the Senate to do so. He isn’t afraid of the republican Senators, he is afraid of the electorate, he knows they would be raising hell with him again.

Are you serious? Can he appoint someone who has been rejected? Every time I think he can’t get any worse, Obama finds a way to show me that “yes he can”. By the end of this charade (a.k.a. his Presidency) he will be lucky if Pelosi votes for him.
