RUSH: Now, we welcome back from "in hiding" in Atlanta Stacy, who works for an insurance company ..... Snip
CALLER: That's my other fear, Rush. I don't know that November is as big a lock as we would hope and here's why. Most group plans renew January 1st of every year. Most people won't see the dramatic premium increases until January 1st. So what they're going to do is all these people who voted for this -- and who likely were swayed by this argument -- are going to run around and say, "Well, look, nothing happened. You're not paying any more. You know, everything's fine. It was just a bunch of, quote, unquote, 'fearmongering,'" and I'm afraid they're going to be reelected.
Snip CALLER: I would say 99% of all insurance companies, health insurance companies in the country.
Snip CALLER: And you know how many people are going to die in the interim, Rush? I say that in all sincerity, because come January 1st you're going to see 200, 300% increases in premiums and people are going to drop their coverage. So you've got the woman who isn't going to go get the mammogram or the man who's not going to get the prostate exam.
RUSH: Wait a minute!
CALLER: People are going to die.
RUSH: I thought the mammogram was free.
CALLER: Not when you drop the coverage because you can't afford three times the premium. Remember, the premiums are going up because of the government, and jobs are being lost because of the government. If you can't pay it, you can't pay it. So people are going to drop it. They're going to drop their insurance before they drop their mortgage.

RUSH: So I got this e-mail question from the subscriber list: "After listening to Stacy, why aren't the insurance companies not taking out full-page ads detailing all of these deceptive lies to the American people? Why are Wall Street companies not doing the same? Why are they continuing to allow these liberals to demonize them and not fight back?" I can only take a guess, and as far as the insurance companies are concerned, take a look at the stocks. Insurance company stocks right now are skyrocketing and so are drug company stocks because the original few years of this bill mandates 32 million more customers, and the insurance companies are going to pay for them somehow, some way, so they're excited about this. You jump in on the bubble and you cash out. I mean, even if you think you got five years left in business, maximize it all you can and then get the hell out if you don't think you can stop it. Anyway, my guess. What do I know?

I became totally deflated after Stacy’s call. The Fox News Legal Analyst both think it won’t be overturned.
I’m just so depressed about this.

Are there any laws that state that the insurance company must notify you 30-60-90 days before policy change?

Are there any laws that state that the insurance company must notify you 30-60-90 days before policy change? Our open-enrollment period ends Oct. 31 and takes effect Jan. 1 so I will know in October what the premiums are going to be for the following year.

My father went to the Dr today as follow up from some surgery he had a month or so ago. When he got there the waiting roon was filled with people. When he finally got up to the window he was told they were overrun with people who had come in demanding their free healthcare. Seriously. He was astonished.

I heard another analyst say the same thing. He felt that the odds of this bill being over-turned are...well, remote.
If the GOP is lucky enough to gain control of the House in November, the best thing we can do is to un-fund this travesty.

Becasue the major insurance companies are sub corporations for the big banks. Connect the dots...everything leads back to the central banks.

I fear for our nation when I read stories like these.

That's why I laugh at every one of those surveys that tell us how stupid Republicans are and how brilliant Obama voters are.

What was their reasoning?Mark Levin was on the other night telling folks they should make Obama follow through on his promise the minute he signed the bill into law: go to your practitioner and demand free services. Go to your insurer and demand a $2500 check for the premium reduction Obama promised.
Maybe some folks took him up on it!

That is just amazing, and sick at the same time.

Rush also mentioned that some outfit was asking for $1 from all their members (moveon.org.?), to pay for a plane ticket for him to leave the country. So far they collected $1600. If he don't take them up on their offer, they will give the proceeds to Planned Parenthood.
So what I am proposing: Rush needs to announce a $1 for $1 match from all his fans, not to send him or anyone anywhere, BUT the money in his fund would go to some counter program or some Charity.
I wanted to email him this, but he would never read the emails. So maybe someone on here knows hoe to reach him.

I am lost. Are you saying people need to begin something now? I am on Medicare and have a Dr., I guess I will need to call him as see what he intends to do. Yes?
You say open-enrollment ends Oct 31/2010, so what happens if someone misses that?
To: diamond6
I heard this call and Stacy sounded very sure of what she was talking about, but one thing bothered me about her call and I realize now what it was. She said that the insurance companies are required by law to keep 65% of their funds in escrow for payment of claims. They use the remainder for all other expenses - salaries, buildings, etc. She kept saying that the split is 65/45 - but that adds up to 110%!
