Shepard Smith, Hero to Left-Wing Bloggers, Slams GOP Chair
FoxNews ^ | 03-22-2010 | Montag813

Shepard Smith is the DARLING of DailyKos, TPM, ThinkProgress and Media Matters. Why? Because he is a hard left-wing news anchor on what is supposedly the "Right-Wing Network"--FoxNews.

Moreover, Smith routinely bashes Republicans and gives Democrats a pass. Today was no different, as he blasted Republican chairman Michael Steele. But don't believe me...read what a Kos blogger had to say about the exchange.

Then you might want to email Roger Ailes and let him know what you think of his "anchorman"...

I've written more than once in praise of Shepherd Smith as the best newsperson on TV; today he proved it once again interviewing Michael Steele. I wish I had a transcript.

Things I remember include Micheal Steele talking about his new "Fire Nancy Pelosi" website, and Shep asking him, "Who's going to join your 'Fire Nancy Pelosi' movement? The people with preexisting conditions who can now get insurance? The people who couldn't afford insurance before and can now afford it?" Steele sputtered in response.
Then it was on to the language of the Republicans. After a series of quotes including language like "Armageddon," Shep asked Steele, "Armaggedon? Is that appropriate?" When Steele defended such language as the "feelings of the people," Shep asked him, "Armageddon? Do you know what Armageddon is?"

Then Steele got onto small business and how they hate the bill. "Is that the same small businesses who are getting a tax credit because of the bill?" asked Shep. More sputtering from Steele.

And to top it all off, later, referring to Bart Stupak, Smith actually referred to him as "anti-abortion" and not "pro-life." I don't know of a single other newscaster on any other station (not sure about Rachel) who would use that language.

I hear Shep and Anderson Cooper are into teabagging each other.

Yep and Hanity showed his in the 2008 elections. I have no use for FOX News.

It's permanently turned off here, even Beck, the last one I enjoyed listening to/watching. After FOX's celebrations about Death Care and the end of the republic on Friday all day and Sat am, I had enough.

I have friends who turned it off years ago, and I no longer watched BOR or much of it, even in the gym, but this last weekend was the final straw. Just another Marxist-run station to trick us into thinking they care and/or have values. If I could dump it from the cable line-up, I would, but we can't pick and choose (and already have the most basic package).

I'm glad that you said that. I was out of town all weekend, and did not see any Fox news until I turned on "Special Report". It seemed that the usual RINO talking heads were very pleased that this debacle had passed. I turned it off. It's getting harder and harder to find any honest voices on television.

Vote with your TV whenever he or Geraldo “Where’s Waldo Hoffa” Rivera are on. I treat them as the rest of the LameStreetMedia and turn the TV off.

I’ll probably get flammed(sp?) for saying this but consider this:

Shep’s ideology is a lot more disgusting than his sexuality.

Who cares who Shep likes to sleep with, if he is gay? I don’t know and I don’t care.

The disgusting ideology that is rotting the virtue of our country is not sexual, it’s philosophical.

Confusing Shep’s sexuality (not my business) with his apparent progressive ideology (everyone’s business) is both a strategic error for conservatives and also misses the point.

The vibrant American economy is being undermined by a culture of “I need therefore I get to take your stuff because you don’t need.”

Let’s leave people’s sexuality out of it and focus on the really disgusting: progressives who are both gay and straight.

Just my opinion.

You’re all missing the point. Greg Gutfeld is the real talent at Fox. Beck and Red Eye are the best shows on there.

Shepard Smith’s most notorious on-air gaffe:

I find Shepherd Smith extremely creepy.

He tries to introduce liberal snipes into all kinds of stories that aren’t even political.

He is swarmy and I don’t know why anyone would trust him.

I know FOX could improve their ratings if they dumped Smith.

He’s a tabloid, ambulance-chaser type anyway.

Is this the same Shepard Smith that was arrested and posted $10,000 bail for allegedly driving his car into a female reporter who was standing in a parking space she attempted to save for a friend?

The term is "cognitive dissonance." The ability to demand that Fox News delenda est, while praising Shep Smith as cable's best news anchor.

But the Kos guy has a point. Steele is incompetent.

We ALL watch the Shep Smith.

We ALL take him seriously.

This is all true.
NOT.
But his hair is perfect!

When Rivero got his show on FOX NET I think she went with him thus off FOX NEWS. When he came back on FOX NEWS with a show she is on it last I heard.
