I know we live in a much different era regarding the nature of war, but at some point George Washington and Ben Franklin, et al, signed on for a War. It was called the Declaration of Independence, and there were (of course) skirmishes ahead of that also. They represented Colonies and militias - many of them. So if that is to happen, it must be through some kind of state’s rights/state’s secession move, I would guess, that is physically attacked by troops of the federal government (can you imagine?). That would be my cue, in any case, rather than any random acts of violence (no matter who’s responsible for these bricks.)
Back in Washington and Franklin’s day, their decision for War had to do with Tyranny and Freedom.
