Hardly. The fight is far from over. People must stand up against this marxist, tyrannical, runaway government. Our founding fathers faced death by hanging from King George III while writing the Declaration of Independence but still forged ahead. Whatever sacrifice we make to preserve the Constitution will pale in comparison. They understood the necessity of throwing off the shackles of an oppressive regime. The passage below is a reminder from the founding fathers how the people have the final say as to how they will be governed.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Yes ,in my opinion, it did. I believe that the fatal wound was administered on November 4, 2008.

Its tombstone will read:

America Born July 4, 1776————Died November 4, 2008

Death was from wounds inflicted by fools and traitors.

These days it’s asking too much, when you ask people to give up cable tv or that free babysitting service that provides children with socialist brainwash (make no mistake, people who avail themselves of this service are taking welfare of the most damaging kind).
Forget asking them to give up the second job, the extra car, the house with the mortgage, the investment portfolio.
Time to sell short and buy lead, if you ask me. We’re going down, and should go down swinging.
But most people are sheeple, and by November we will probably have an extra 20 million Democrat sheeple voters, due to amnesty.

Beautiful post. I just wonder about these people who forced this horror on America. Don’t they have children and grandchildren of their own? If so, don’t they care about them and their futures? I know some of them are just ignorant and don’t realize what they’ve done. Others reaaly think its a good deal. I truly believe that some were threatened into it. But you just know some of them really do know what they’ve done and did it gladly and with malice against our country. Those are the ones I’m curious about. Even evil people usually love their own kids. What motivates these people to disregard the futures of their own children. They are bound to know what horrors communism holds. I guess they think their own will be spared. I just don’t know.

Good thoughts, but let's keep perspective - this could all turn out fine in the end:

1. The Democraps have been forced out into the cold clear light of day. Until they had to vote, they could remain "hidden" to the folks back home.

2. Millions of Americans are enraged. Perhaps enraged enough to carry through to November and maybe take back BOTH houses of congress.

3. There are still plenty of legal arguments that could derail this disaster of a bill.

This could lead to the ideal scenario: the bill is overturned and nullified in the court system; the Democraps have had to commit themselves and now face the voters rage.

Your post has brought some tears to my eyes.

It seems free stuff, materialism, and laziness has transformed America.

The most evil that we have ever seen began with the credit card. Prosperity gone and mountainous debt became acceptable and even fashionable. What better than to get things without having the money to pay for it. We all became slaves then.

It is not our American nature to travel to distant Washington DC to beg the federal government. Our actions should be directed at state and local governments.
