Schlafly: Health Care Vote Set to Expose the Myth of the 'Pro-Life Democrat'
Yahoo News ^ | 03/21/10 | PR Newswire

WASHINGTON, March 21 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Phyllis Schlafly, president and founder of the conservative grassroots public policy organization Eagle Forum, made the following remarks after the public announcement that formerly pro-life Democrat Bart Stupak (D-MI) will cast a "yes" vote for the Senate health care bill today in the House:

"It is naive for any elected official, especially one who describes himself as 'pro-life,' to expect that a promise to issue an Executive Order that reasserts the intentions of the Hyde Amendment will be fulfilled by the most pro-abortion president to ever sit in the White House. Perhaps Mr. Stupak and his fellow pro-life Democrats forget that President Obama's first Executive Order was the repeal of the Mexico City Policy to allow for international funding of abortion."

They are traitors and enemies of the United States, deserving of due justice.

Just heard a Republican Congressman, whose name I didn’t catch, say the crazies are in charge. Sixties leftists are in charge, and how did the American people let this happen. Hmmm, I don’t think the American people did let it happen. They were voted in by the same kind of people, who are NOT in any way shape or form, AMERICAN.

Berry is a DEMRat even if he voted No. Either he switches to GOP or out he goes in Nov. No more voting for DEMs-—PERIOD!

The so-called ‘conservative’ Democrat is a misnomer as well if your check their voting records — down in the 20’s is not conservative.

Don’t you think you are being a bit naive about Berry’s vote?

If I’m naive, so is aclj.org. That’s where I found the info.

Berry doesn’t have a bad illegal immigration voting record either. Voted for the fence, etc..

Let’s not be afraid of sunlight on every candidate, even if they are Dems. I like him more than REPUBLICAN Rudy.

There is no such thing as a pro-life statist. Statism is the death of the individual. In more ways than one.

Because most bishops are Democrats. The religion of big D Democracy trumps the Roman Catholic religion.

The rest of the bishops are cowards.

There are only about 15 bishops in the U.S. who have announced that pro-abortion people will not be given Communion. Denial of Communion to such people is Church LAW.

Only about 15 bishops in the U.S. are not publicly and habitually in the state of mortal sin.

If this guy really is pro-life, his party has sacrificed his credibility. The Party of Death, having gained the number of “pro-life” quislings it needed to pass the bill, could afford to let a few of its members posture about being pro-life.
