Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer gave a very ominous prognosis of health care in the United States, assuming House Democrats have finally mustered up votes to pass particular legislation.
On a special broadcast of the Fox News Channel's "Special Report with Bret Baier" on March 21, Krauthammer announced upon passage of health care reform legislation in the House of Representatives, we will have a different country and on the road to nationalized health care.

Krauthammer was smitten during the campaign. Or at least he gave the impression that he was. When he wrote his column endorsing McCain and excoriating Obama, it was a shock to many around here. It came seemingly out of left field.
If he was impressed with Obama’s style and presentation but not the substance, he didn’t make that clear until about a week before the election.

We've got 4 yrs to take this killer apart. During those 4 yrs there will be court challenges and possible repeal (although I don't know how we get enough votes to override 0's veto). If this bill is not repealed with a new Pres. then maybe it's game over but there's a lot of fighting to be done in the mean time.
FWIW, I just told my son there's no way we are living in a country that can tell me whether I get to live or die.

If your mother in law was a supporting member of the Nazi or communist party but not an official in one of the parties how would you talk with her or how would you treat her?
My answer honestly. I would find out how loyal she is to the party because she could turn you in when that time comes and it will.
Shun and ignore them - divorce them in a sense. Act as if they don’t exist. Treat them like you would a doornail - dead to you and your family.
You do not want their “morals” infecting your children.
It may be coming. If the fed govt keeps taking more of our liberties and it can't be stopped legally through the courts, legislation, or even a constitutional convention then it's time to live in a state that wants out.
I'm currently in IL, but have already been making plans to move my business to TX, TN, or VA. I'm even more interested in TX now because if secession happens I think it will start there.
My business is mostly off shore now. I’m thinking Texas if they leave. Otherwise, I’ll be spending much more time off shore. If I have to live is a socialist state, then I’ll take the one with the 10% income tax rates...

I have some lefty in-laws. After 25 years of dealing with them, I refuse to attend any events when I know they will be there. They’re the brother and sister-in-law types. Thankfully my mother and father-in-law are conservatives. I don’t know how some of the daughters they raised are ‘rats.

I understand the feeling, but there's a lot of fighting to do before that. I suspect we are going to have a financial breakdown before this takeover kicks in and possibly the 10th Ammendment will be upheld in the courts.
Nobody in the GOP fought Sotomayor. There are two justices clinging to breath right now. Obama will have three justices before November. You can kiss your republic goodbye. Its over, buddy.
