It looks like pro-life Democrat Bart Stupak has lied to Americans in opposition to the current health care bill. He never intended to vote against the legislation when it came down to final vote. Listen to this video of Bart Stupak recorded last year, when he was unaware he was being recorded.

The Right-to-Life groups that endorsed this guy Stupak need to understand they have supported taxpayer-funded abortion. Such groups should now be referred to as “so-called” right-to-life groups, or phony groups. Anyone who supports a Democrat in any endevor or believes ANYTHING they say deserves what they get.
Stupak lied, babies died, we paid for it.

I’m with Krauthammer as regards Stupak.
But first, I am especially anger, indeed ired beyond any rage I’ve felt for the past couple of years, over how this guy yanked my chain, how he so piously acted as if saving the unborn were his over-riding goal.
He was lying, peeing upon our feet and telling us it’s raining.
Like Charles Krauthammer said, if Stupak had been a man about it, just stood up and said that while he feels strongly about federal funds on abortion that he feels even stronger about loyalty to his president and party, that he’ll deal with federal funding on abortion later....
Instead he’s been lying like a snake all this time and now he expects we’re going to buy this absolutely ridiculous Executive Order nonsense.
He’s insulted all of us more than any of those other jokers.
Damn, even Obamer had the impetus of his left-wing idealogy. Stupak is the stinkiest of them all in this thing...playing this thing out...grabbing the limelight.
Now I want to see him ran out of office in the supreme shame he deserves.

I’m not ashamed to admit it, I was duped by this guy too. I thought last November when he successfully negotiated the strict language into the House bill that he might really be serious.
WOW! This video is about as damning as anything I’ve seen. We must give him well-funded opposition this fall so his opponent can run this video in ads all over his district.
One other thing-does ANYONE still believe there is no difference between the two parties?
Stupak et.al will have more to worry about than the wrath of the voters in November. One day they will have to answer to God and He will have the final say in the matter.
Once again, democrats lie, Americans cry.
While listening to Stupak, I felt so violated hearing the voices of America protesting in the background. It would have been courageous of him to have said that he hears the voices of America and will not vote for the bill.

I don’t think he lied....
He was never THAT committed to being against abortion as he was for passing a democrat health care bill. He told people in his district where he stood on it. I think he certainly grandstanded and was likely paid off but he was on record as saying he would vote for a bill no matter what. If people wanted to place him as a solid pro-life member of Congress then they believed a poser

Absolutely correct he lied all along. The whole charade with Pelosi last November on the first vote on the House bill was only deigned to give cover to 39 Democrats from heavily Catholic districts. Even then they were planning this Executive Order stunt or something like it. The EO will not last a week before someone is in the 9th Circuit Federal Court in California to challenge it and when the judges toss it out Stupak will look like the fool that he is and Obama will get exactly what he wanted, a federal takeover of the health industry with no restriction on abortion funding. Those of us who saw Obama in action only 8 years ago as a state senator in Springfield, Illinois saw him pull similar tricks on life issues many times.
