Glenn Nye, Loretta Sanchez to Vote No 209 By: Jane Hamsher Saturday March 20, 2010 8:14 pm ... This makes Nancy Pelosis job considerably harder. Sanchezs jump could be a sign that there are members who have been quiet about their positions and hoping theyd never have to take the vote. But with the fear of tough elections ahead looming large, more could follow her lead.

No, it just means that she has been given permission to vote No, especially if she has a tough challenge from a Republican.
Bob Dornan tried to run for President. And his district had been “re-drawn” and less conservative. And the Republicans KNEW voter fraud was a factor, and they STILL LET HER HAVE HIS SEAT.
The beginning of the wall of fraud was when this seat was lost.
If I remember right, many suspected that voter fraud was involved in Sanchez's win, and Dornan didn't protest -- or was urged not to protest. More proof of what damage can be done when Republicans shrug their shoulders and decide not to fight. It always bites them down the line.
I wonder how many liberals are saying today that they will vote “no” but then will turn around and have a “last minute change of heart” tomorrow? Cynical me... I smell an ambush.
What you think FDL is not telling it straight?
I agree, I think it will pass by one to two votes unless, and I pray that there is a shift of a couple of votes..
BTW, Chris Carney must be kicking himself in the a right now.
I am just surprised I remember it was a R seat at one time considering I’m in NY.
Huh? She’s not happy about the illegals being kept out of health care benefits, no doubt...
Oh, please let it be so!
If I remember right, B-1 Bob DID fight, in fact he had to be practically carried out of his office, but the Republicans did not give him any backup.
Her politics suck - but I’ve always regarded Loretta Sanchez as hot!
Bob Dornan was a very colorful Representative. He had national name recognition, known as B1 Bob. Big national defense guy.
Which proves to me she's merely bargaining for some kind of deal.
It's no coincidence that most of these people have either first or second hand knowledge of life under communist dicatorship.
As opposed to the public-school-educated American youth of today, who do not even know what the word "communist" means.
I remember him I just could get the name right. I knew it started with a D.
She is not opposed to the fraud and corruption in this Bill. She is probably putting her vote out to bid.
I think if you had been at the rally you might feel differently. We disrupted the rules committee so badly that they had to suspend! Representative King said that that meant they didn’t have the votes and the rules committee didn’t know what to do. One Congressman who had been out walking near his home four blocks away heard us and came over in his shorts and running shoes to say thank you! He said he had been mingling with us, and because he was out of a business suit he heard some of what we were saying amongst ourselves and he was proud of us and agreed with us. I’m afraid I don’t remember his name. Any other Freeper there today who might?
I am a business owner in Sanchez’s district. I called her office on Friday to register my disapproval of the bill. I asked her spokesperson which side the Congresswoman was coming down on. I was told she had not made her mind up yet. She wants to wait until the last minute to make sure she is doing right by her district. I responded that business is bad in her district and what is needed is pro business policies to improve business conditions and hence, jobs. Government takeover of healthcare would make things worse, I told her. I asked which way the calls to the office were going. I was told that calls were even. We’ll know tomorrow which way Loretta is going to go. By the way, it is true that a strong Republican from the Viet Namese community will give her a run in the fall, especially if she walks the plank for Pelosi and Obama.
Could be La Raza got to her.
