2 p.m.: The House will debate for one hour the rules of debate for the reconciliation bill and the Senate bill.

3 p.m.: The House will vote to end debate and vote on the rules of the debate.

3:15 p.m.: The House will debate the reconciliation package for two hours.

5:15 p.m.: The House will vote on the reconciliation package.

5:30 p.m.: The House will debate for 15 minutes on a Republican substitute and then vote on the substitute.

6 p.m.: The House will vote on the final reconciliation package.

6:15 p.m.: If the reconciliation bill passes, the House will immediately vote on the Senate bill, without debate.

Thanks. Didn't see that. Geez, that about makes you sick. . one evil overrides another. Anyway, maybe some of the Dem Women will individually rebel.

I think what they are saying is that Obama will promise to sign an executive order prohibiting money to be used for funding abortions after the bill is signed.

Now, I don’t know exactly how they think that will work because the money is directed to be spent as such according to the law he would have just signed and he can’t use an executive order to overturn a law.

Of course, if they can get enough of Stupak’s group to believe it — or pretend to believe it — it won’t matter.

Rep. Zack Space (D-OH), who voted for the House health care bill last fall, has announced that he will vote no on the Senate bill tomorrow. We’re told that this wasn’t a surprise to Speaker Pelosi but that she didn’t release him to vote no either, as sometimes happens late in the game when the leadership knows it has enough votes and can spare some to protect vulnerable incumbents.

Even if the Stupak bloc has been whittled to a half-dozen, you would still need to get all the outstanding Yes votes (Foster, Kanjorski, Michaud, Ortiz, Pomeroy, Schrader) and two of the remaining former No votes (Baird, L.Davis, Matheson, Nye, Tanner). And if that Stupak bloc is any bigger, it gets harder.

At this point, Mike Arcuri and Stephen Lynch will probably get some phone calls from Obama...And Collin Peterson, too. So we need to keep calling them and tell them kill the bill.
