A friend of the site e-mailed us about an hour ago to say that he spoke to a Democratic congressman he’s pals with earlier tonight. Quote:
He tells me with certainty that they have plenty of votes and that some yes votes will be allowed to vote no if they choose for their protection. He says that everyone’s internal polling has been much better than expected. He says at this point that last sticking point is whether to give Stupak a separate vote, which Pelosi is considering.
Lest you think this is a sketchy “I’ve got this friend, see…” tip, I assure you that he did give us the name of his congressional source.

He’s said all along he wanted to vote for the legislation but the abortion language didn’t suit him. He *has to know* the kanguage *won’t* get fixed in the senate and that our Catholic bishops and Church are totally against it.
Call DC, call the district offices (all of them), and email them.
Even if your Congresscritter is a yes, call anyway and press him/her. You never know when you might be able to turn one.

If the source is spinning their internal polls as good then his source is full of it. Unless the source and Allah are refering to polling of their caucus’ intentions on this vote. Then maybe but far as the public is concerned...no.

We never had $1.6 Trillion deficits over year before like we are having now. Heck, Bush's entire annual deficits were smaller than 0bozo’s MONTHLY deficits right now. We simply cannot afford another $2.4 Trillion entitlement program. The money is simply not there, even if we taxed every millionaire in this country by 90% rate on their income.
This bill is going to get killed one way or the other, and 0bama is almost certainly history in 2012. The Democrats WILL get slaughtered in November. Nothing is going t change that.
As a rule they don’t. In this instance? We’ll see. Depends on how long outrage persists. The reason they usually are never repealed is a) the public doesn’t understand what’s happened until too late when they are dependent b) they lacked the resources to battle it c) they lacked the will. Ex. Had the public had the resources available today I’m not convinced abortion would have stood as law in R v W.
The public understands and hates it this time. The resources are there to confront it. It would take years before people became reliant on it and the interim would be hell as they attempted to transfer everyone to government care fueling the fire. Only question is will. Would the public grow tired and defeated and walk away...or fight. No one can know.
The Democrats are trying are using psychological warfare on our side because they know that the only thing that passes this bill is if we get discouraged. Take heart!

SCOTUS ruled for Nixon to release tapes he had had made by executive decision. If this becomes a matter of a clear violation of Art Seven SCOTUS will rule. Precedent is on the side of Pelosi since this stuff has been done before. But SCOTUS may say that prior bad acts do not validate a current bad act.
