There is a plan to do a concurrent resolution to take the Senate bill, strike the Nelson language on abortion, and insert the Stupak language on abortion.

The bottom line is to keep our eye on the prize. No healthcare!!! She’s spinning like a top right now...
if they change the bill then wouldn’t the senate have to approve it before it is signed and then they do the reconciliation?
Per Greta...”By the way, Congressman Bart Stupak is going ON THE RECORD at 10pm tonight.”
Your right! They cannot screw with that senate bill unless they go through the whole process again!
It looks like to me-if this is true, that they House hasnt the guts and will try and throw it back at the senate.
>> I think this is the game plan ...
No doubt.
They cannot change a comma in the Senate Bill without forcing it back to the Senate fo a revote. They can pass this Bill, send it to Obama to sign and at the same time send a Stupak provision to the Senate for reconciliation. This would be difficult for two reasons. Such a provision is not budgetary in nature and thus not a candidate for Reconciliation. Second they’re counting on GOP to vote yes as it’s a pro life position. If the GOP votes present, the provision fails as 51 votes are still needed and there’s no way 51 Dem senators vote against federally funded abortion
that fox new story is bogus. read the actual article . there methodology is bogus guess based on the nov votes.
even left The Hill has a count looking like the phony fox story. the wash dc office of fox is packed full of lefties . roger alies had to tell them to kool it last week.
Pelosi will cave to Stupak, and Stupak will cave to communist health care.
It’s a done deal and has been all along.
Stupak and company painted themselves into a corner by making it look like their opposition was all about a single issue, abortion. Once Pelosi gives Stupak what he wants, how can he or the rest of his crowd say, “Nevermind, I’m voting against Mengelecare anyway”, even if they want to?
>> They can pass this Bill, send it to Obama to sign and at the same time send a Stupak provision to the Senate...
So, this trick is to lure the so-called Pro Life Dems into thinking that it’s okay to vote YES on the Senate bill in its current form?
It could be a change is made to the Senate bill, then it goes back to the Senate for “Reconciliation”.....which according to the rules would be Limited to what kind of changes they could make.....but of course, the “rules” are subject to being interpreted.
Going back to the Senate could be another way of getting EVERYTHING done to the bill using 51 votes....OR....it could be deemed passed and the amendment package goes on to the Senate while the President signs the Senate bill unchanged.....its confusing as to what the “Deemocrat Plan” really is....but its gonna be devious.
The Senate bill can’t be reconciled until it is LAW.
All roads lead to the Senate bill become law.
The only other option for the dems is new bills in the House or Senate or a Conference on the two bills passed - which the Dems lose.
Again: The Senate Bill is passed and signed - that’s the goal now. The rest is promises to get this done.
That’s Pelosi’s plan. She’s playing Stupak and his group. If the Senate Dems can’t deliver, well the guys in Nam had a phrase that Pelosi would use to cover that event, “Sorry about that.”
IMHO any of them who voted for the Slaughter Solution already voted yes no matter what their final vote is. They all need to go!
I think they need a full 60 votes if the bill is changed and they don’t have that many votes. I think reconciliation can only be used on the same exact bill?
>> Thats Pelosis plan. Shes playing Stupak and his group.
Gotcha. Stupak’s vote is also a vote of Pelosi’s credibility.
Hopefully, Stupak fully understands the goal of the Left - to control, to kill.
I will pray that you are correct.
