From a top level source in the House comes the news that the Democrats are still short of the 216 votes they need to pass Obamacare. They have decided, however, to go for broke on Sunday and attempt to pass it whether or not they have enough support. They feel that only by forcing a vote can the force members off the fence. They hope that by employing all means at their disposal, they can round up enough votes for passage. But, if they don't have the votes, they will allow the measure to be defeated. One source called it a "suicide run."

Where and at what point did these people forgo their responsibility to the American voters? When did they abandon accountability for personal aggrandizement?
More to the point, when did Americans decide that they could stand by allowing this and still call themselves independent?
Every dollar that is expended on an illegal alien (and these vermin ARE covered under ObamaCare) represents one less dollar available for an AMERICAN in need:
a hungry child,
a disabled person,
a senior citizen,
-or- a veteran who risked their life for our country
Our politicians are an embarassment. Why bother being a working, tax paying, law abiding citizen? What’s the benefit?
Until American citizens STOP giving elected officials permission to STEAL from them (voting for the Democrat Party), nothing will change.
I thought I was the only one that was less than enthralled with the Toe Suckers’ perspicacity. Freepers are smart.
“Then let the games REALLY begin.”
I hope so. The Dems desperately want this all to go away. Keep it in the news, keep it on the minds of the stupid American public, maybe, just maybe they will be able to figure out the source of their discomfort is the Democrats, not GWB, like the media keeps telling them.
That's right. As soon as "no" gets to 216, this becomes a rout.
Would Obama order that the National Guard raze the tents and drive the protestors out at bayonet-point?
I wouldn't put it past O'Duce.

The bribes just haven’t been big enough or they haven’t figured out how to hide them. There is no limit to what the last holdouts can get. Also, the big bribes can’t go in until the last minute - “we” can’t find out about them until the vote is done and the “yes votes” can say “I didn’t know about that”.
I’d be happy to find out I’m wrong Monday morning. But I expect some serious haggling to go on Saturday night/Sunday morning and deals being made that are worth more than a small country (maybe even a medium country).
I thought to myself - Yep you will cave and vote yes even if your constituents say NO!
I still bet he caves today!
Michael Baron is saying similar.
It's going to pass.
Get to DC this weekend. We need a sea of humanity in the streets to scare the hell out of these swing votes. Get there, get anyone you can to come. This is the ball game.
When has Morris ever been right about anything? Charles Krauthammer seems to think it will pass by 1 or 2 votes...
“To get wavering Dems to vote yes, it must appear to be a lock.”
That would be conventional wisdom, but they are desperate. Most Dems, especially the ones in tight races, would love to be told they can vote no on this POS. Voting yes, for many of them is political suicide.
That’s why I loved what Tom Coburn said yesterday.
His most recent e-mail as I get them is still rallying us to send money for advertising in the fence sitters’ districts and working the phones. He is not calling it a pat hand.
We should do as he is asking, and PRAY!
However: I just got off the phone with the staffer of Zack Space, 18th District of Ohio. He's an idiot, but is supposedly "undecided". The fact that I got through means not enough people are calling, so how about picking up the phone and giving his office a jingle at 202) 225-6265.
I live in the 5th District of Ohio, but I told Mr. Space's staffer that I would take a week's vacation in his district in the fall help campaign for his opponent, if he voted to restrict our liberty.
Please, let's keep the pressure on.
Let’s hope that some that had said that they would vote “yes” only said they would to get them off their back and that they intend to vote “no” to save their butts.
Susan Kosmos is “undecided” and she is in my district here in central Florida. I called and told her to vote no yesterday. She is in a conservative area here in central Florida and voted against the bill last time around.
