My state of Michigan takes a beating around here but we are one seriously gun heavy state.
Some years back I remember reading a govt report that said they estimated at least one 50 cal rifle in every county of Michigan. That’s 83 but I suspect the number is significantly higher.

Scary thing is, that makes a lot of sense!
I work in the land industry, hunting properties and rural communities so I never talk to those near cities. Michigan and Illinois, especially, they are great people and I actually feel bad for them that their states are represented by such morons. It is like they are being held hostage by those in the cities.
The wind is changing as it often does in Michigan. John Engler was a great governor, then we got Granholm and next we’ll have Hoekstra.
Liberals are doing a full court press right now to make conservatives the "other". These are dangerous times - you're right, myknowledge - history can repeat - anywhere, anytime.
