The Times of India picks up on a story from the Sunday Herald in Scotland that suggests the US may be preparing for military strikes on Iran. The story, dated on Sunday but apparently not widely noticed until yesterday, reports that the Obama administration has sent hundreds of bunker buster bombs to the island of Diego Garcia, a staging area for military operations in the Persian Gulf:
Hundreds of powerful US bunker-buster bombs are being shipped from California to the British island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean in preparation for a possible attack on Iran.
The Sunday Herald can reveal that the US government signed a contract in January to transport 10 ammunition containers to the island. According to a cargo manifest from the US navy, this included 387 Blu bombs used for blasting hardened or underground structures.
Experts say that they are being put in place for an assault on Irans controversial nuclear facilities. There has long been speculation that the US military is preparing for such an attack, should diplomacy fail to persuade Iran not to make nuclear weapons.
A shipping company based in Florida, Superior Maritime Services, will be paid $699,500 to carry many thousands of military items from Concord, California, to Diego Garcia.
Crucially, the cargo includes 195 smart, guided, Blu-110 bombs and 192 massive 2000lb Blu-117 bombs.
They are gearing up totally for the destruction of Iran, said Dan Plesch, director of the Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy at the University of London, co-author of a recent study on US preparations for an attack on Iran. US bombers are ready today to destroy 10,000 targets in Iran in a few hours, he added.

Maybe this is why Obama postponed his visit outside the Country.
Interesting tactics. Akin to turning over four kings and daring the other guy to beat you.
Or Israel. If Israel has to defend itself, Oboma has already said he'd side with his Muslim brothers. It's in his book.
*ping*
I don’t know why the Obama Jr. administration is setting about to bomb people who have not been found guilty of anything. Shouldn’t they be tried and found guilty before they are executed? Obama Jr. is a war criminal.
Hussein would have NO problem blasting fellow Muslims if he thought it would help him here in the US. It all depends upon whether he’s received the ALL CLEAR from the Saudi king, George Soros and his other handlers.
This would be how Obama gets reelected, if he has the nerve.
The day of 9/11, C-5 Galaxies took off from the East Coast, picked up the heavy stuff in the Midwest, changed crews on the West coast and then continued on to Diego Garcia. We get stuff where we want it fast if needed. This sound more like normal stockpiling.

Well a bunker-buster bombathon lasting a few months would certainly bunker-bust news of obama’s healthcare tyranny right off the news map.
Have to agree with you.
The quantities listed in the article do not come anywhere close to the amounts of ordnance needed to execute an effective air campaign against Iran.
Besides, Obama would have to grow some big ones first...and that’s not going to happen, period.
“Hussein would have NO problem blasting fellow Muslims ...”
Yep...I think he is more about Marxism and will crush whoever is in the way.
My thought also. Likely to take place around mid October. If he does it at all.
heh heh heh
Sounds right.
These bombs are probably for Phase Two of our “training” of Palestinian “peacekeepers”.
Whoopee. The place has long been used for pre positioned equipment.
Iran may be Muslim, but it is also Persian.
The entire gulf is mortally afraid of Iran, not just Israel. There’s already cooperation going on between Jordan, Egypt, and the Saudi’s on intelligence on Iran as it is today.
Even Obama’s not that stupid.
