For the last several years, Sean Hannity and the Freedom Alliance “charity” have conducted “Freedom Concerts” across America. They’ve told you that they are raising money to pay for the college tuition of the children of fallen soldiers and to pay severely wounded war vets. And on Friday Night, Hannity will be honored with an award for this “Outstanding Community Service by a Radio Talk Show Host” at Talkers Magazine’s convention.
But it’s all a huge scam.

Sean has been hammering on Barry’s butt since Barry announced. He does good, I just hope that a explanation comes forth quickly as we don’t need to be distracted and off-track with the take over of America happening.
I dont know a thing about the charity etc but I somehow doubt this story is true.Sean Hannity does NOT need money or anything else....in fact he needs to slow down and not be so driven . Events like these CANNOT help him that much...so there has to be other reasons to do it

Anyone who thinks the numbers on Charity Navigator paint a poor picture of Freedom Alliance is WRONG! For God’s sake look at their ranking system before you spout off stupid remarks here.
Freedom Alliance gets 4 our of 4 stars. They are a very highly ranked and efficiently run organization. If you have other evidence to the contrary then post it, but don’t link to Charity Navigator and say that proves the substance of this article because it doesn’t. It completely disproves it.
Point of reference, I am an officer of a nonprofit. Anything less than about 85% going to the stated charity (that is, any overhead greater than 15%) is viewed with growing suspicion by the IRS.
Okay, your sister works for FA. But, those numbers are very, very damning.
I can order their returns, which will likely be very professional in appearance, as they are 501C and by law must fulfill requests for their tax statements to anyone who inquires.
If your sister has information in opposition please post it.
BTW, I watch Sean and like his show and have contributed to FA in the past but with Debbie’s reporting on this I don’t think I can in the future.

I sound like a liberal... because I am shocked that the president of a CHARITY makes $180,000 a year? We aren’t talking about begrudging a CEO money that has been earned, we are talking about a CHARITY. If that makes me sound like a liberal, so be it.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Sean doesn’t run the Freedom Alliance, he only does the concerts for them. Which means he doesn’t have authority over how much and where the money goes. But if it true that the Freedom Alliance gives very little, he should stop doing the concerts for them.

Debbie Schlussel’s demented attack on me
In August 2006, columnist Debbie Schlussel, with whom I had previously had virtually no correspondence and about whom I know almost nothing except for reading an occasional column of hers, out of the blue attacked my character and truthfulness over, quite literally, nothing. Nor has she ever apologized. The incident was so odd and disturbing, and Schlussel’s behavior so inexplicable and wrong, that I feel, a year later, that it is appropriate to tell readers about it. Here’s what happened.
Last summer I wrote a blog entry about an appalling report at WorldNewDaily that the Department of Homeland Security had given a tour of the security facilities at O’Hare Airport to officials from the Council on American Islamic Relations, an organization with many ties to jihadists and terrorists. The purpose of the tour was to satisfy CAIR that Muslims were not being profiled. After sending the blog entry to my e-mail list, I heard back from Debbie Schlussel.
The numbers from the 990 tax form, which is used for 501C’s are revealing.
Debbie’s reporting is accurate as far as I can see and it is not good.
Sean needs to come up with something or will pass on FA this year.
