Sen. Coburn to House Dems: If you vote 'yes' this time, I will expose your pork and filibuster your nomination after you lose
Dr. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., the Senator from bomb-throw:
SEN. TOM COBURN (R), OKLAHOMA: I want to send a couple of messages to my colleagues in the House.
If you voted no and you vote yes, and you lose your election, and you think any nomination to a federal position isn't going to be held in the Senate, I've got news for you. It's going to be held.
Number two is, if you get a deal, a parochial deal for you or your district, I've already instructed my staff and the staff of seven other senators that we will look at every appropriations bill, at every level, at every instance, and we will outline it by district, and we will associate that with the buying of your vote. So, if you think you can cut a deal now, and it not come out until after the election, I want to tell you that isn't going to happen. And be prepared to defend selling your vote in the House.
This is the Washington, D.C. equivalent of "I shall avenge unto the fourth generation and salt your family's plot of land with your blood." For once, some real change in D.C.

I think OK has hands down the best two senators of any of our 57 states.
Call his local office, 918-581-7651 and say thank you.
Use your cell, it won’t cost anything, and it will only take 30 seconds.
“Doc Coburn sounds like he is prescribing pain....finally!”
It is hitting them where it hurts! I’ve posted more than once that the vote buying includes appointments to the newly created healthcare bureaucracy.
Damaging that escape path for the Rats has to be really ticking them off.
God Bless Sen. Coburn.
Someone’s channelling Clint Eastwood...
Good idea! I just did it - a polite young man said "OK, I'll tell him!"
true, which is why Inohofe’s vote to keep earmarks confuses me and makes me angry.

God Bless Senator Coburn, a true American patriot! We shall not forget those who stood up for freedom and were willing to put themselves on the front lines for America!
Let’s give the Republicans some well deserved “praise.” We have beat them up for years...deserved yes...but, they have stood strong and united. Under the circumstances we can’t ask for more.
Would LOVE to see Coburn run. He has run all the illegals out of Oklahoma. They went to Texas. He is not afraid to speak his mind, can’t be bought off and he is a physician. He is well aware of the perils of Obamacare.
Maybe a DeMint/Coburn or vice versa would be great.
You just know that The Devil Trio has promised these people appointments if they lose their jobs come election time.
excellent!!!!!!!!!!!
YES! Find the corrupt deal and expose them! Should also filibuster all funding for any such deals. Make it clear we will take away pot of gold at the end of their Obamacare rainbow.
i dont think that was the kind transparency obama was hoping for in his administration
Bravo. What an incredible set this guy has on him. He was playing super hardball.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY Senator Coburn!!! America could live with a Coburn/Demint or vice versa in the whitehouse:))
Yes, but I heard today they lost 2 more dem votes:))
The only way I see for opponents to stop the Dem’s march into slavery is for them to engage in organized civil disobedience, as in the civil rights era. Engage in a sit- in of Congress: occupy the Speaker’s and the Senate President’s chairs and refuse to give them up. Bar the House and Senate doors and refuse to let the Dems in. Speak and refuse to give up the floor. Disable the computers and the electronic voting machinery. Bring all deliberations to a halt. Demonstrate that there are still patriots that will cry: Give me liberty or give me death (or at least arrest). If this idea has any merit in your view, pass it on to your representatives. I did. If Republicans lose this battle at least let it be said that they went down fighting.

The calendar is favorable. He is up for Senate re-election this year, so 2012 would be a free shot. He will be 64 in 2012, so he's not too old.
Senator Coburn, please seriously consider a 2012 run!
Maybe we should join in if that action were to take place. I am ready, willing, and able to go upon a minutes notice...
These are drastic times and require a willingness to get arrested to combat against these tyrants destroying the greatest country that has ever existed!
