First lady Michelle Obama had tough words for grocery manufacturers Tuesday, telling them to “step it up” in their efforts to provide healthier foods to children and curb obesity.
At a conference at Washington’s Grand Hyatt Hotel, Obama talked about her own efforts on the childhood obesity front, explaining that her goal was to “finally make this national public health threat a national priority.”
“I’m here today to urge all of you to move faster and to go farther, because the truth is we don’t have a moment to waste,” she said in a 20-minute address. “So, we need you all to step it up.”
In recent weeks, most of the first lady's public appearances have been centered on her “Let’s Move” initiative, launched last month.
She recently penned an essay for the cover of Newsweek on her efforts and has traveled to highlight success stories in addressing childhood obesity. And she’s used her roles as a mother and as a fitness fanatic, to urge parents, school officials, mayors and governors to get more involved.

Hey Michelle, why don’t you help them out? Give them a list of what they should sell. If they sell any candy or soda, send the SEIU goons in to torch their stores and break their legs.

My my, that sounds a bit UPPITY!
Crazy idea... How about the parents stop feeding their kids unhealthy foods? Why blame the grocers? Why not have the parents take a little responsibility? Oh, wait, that’s right. The ‘rats, aka socialists, don’t want parents raising their kids. They want the state raising them. So the state will take it upon itself to pressure grocers to simply take away our liberty and freedom to choose.
She must have gotten this hurry,hurry BS from the Kenyan.

Yeah, grocers “stepping it up” is really going to fix the problem. Who does the shopping? Kids eat what their parents let them/tell them to eat. Blaming grocers for parents not doing their job is completely foolish. Since when should a grocer’s priority be nutrition? Their business is buying and selling food.
She should have concentrated on her 'back'
