Mot gonna make any difference. They can pour all the money they have into the state to try and defeat her, and she will still crush them.
I don't know. But it shouldn't be very hard to organize. We have some very knowledgeable Freepers.
Kudos to Michelle.
We need not obey an unconstitutional law.
Everyone move to Virginia.
What the hell do you think Bachmann is doing?
Your idea of begging some black robe to exercise your God given right of self rule is not activism....its begging.
What you said.
Jefferson argued that states can nullify unconstitutional federal laws.
For some reason, some power wants us warring from within.
Bachman is right, this is a real call to arms, either we come forward ready for a fight and willing to take it on in overwhelming numbers.
If we do that... then they will back down, but it is going to take the newly awoken sleeping giant to make it well beyond clear, that we are in it to win it. Failure is off the menu.
Start a bumper-sticker campaign.
Bumper stickers are CHEEP. You can make your own and have it shipped off the internet. You can do a lot of different things with em. I change the message frequently. Here is my latest one http://www.zazzle.com/patriots_are_for_less_governmentprogressives_ar_bumper_sticker-128121349968064084 You can do your own there too. I would encourage everyone to do this, and print up a couple to hand to people you KNOW agree, start spreading the word. Time to take the message public in every way and a viral bumper-sticker campaign might just work in our favor. If not now, then certainly by Nov 2, 2010... the momentum will have had an effect!
Tell me how that works for you once the IRS takes money from your account.
“Ive often speculated that one next logical step in Tea Party or other anti-statist action would be mass noncompliance.
I have always thought that the most sobering aspect of the Tea Party for the left is that the people paying the freight are the ones protesting. Its easy to dismiss a bunch of willful government dependents moaning about their lot in life but when taxpayers speak up it is a very different thing - of course, the lefts big guns were immediately trained on the Tea Party.”
Well said, and very true.
1. Divest from the equities and bond market.
2. Raise your W4 exemptions to the maximum legal amount.
3. Use the tax code to you legal advantage by shorting as much as you possibly can.
4. Exercise where and with whom you spend your money.
5. Prepare for self-dependence, so the govt. can’t squeeze you.
All of these are legal, and should be done anyway. STARVE THE BEAST.
What a wonderful speech! Great Woman.
She doesn't need the RNC. She has more support from the Tea parties than anyone else. She is going to have enough money to crush any Democratic Party opposition.
“She overcame a close vote because a third party candidate took votes away from her opponent.”
That was then, and this is now. The Democrats have already lost even in super safe, true blue states like Massachusetts this year.
Tell me how something is a right when you have to ask permission from a government appointee.
Whatever gave you the idea that Republicans are against growning government? They need the IRS as much as the Dems.
"They have just started a revolution -- and they did it," said Bachmann.Very interesting statement from one of our Representatives in Washington.
I think the states are lining up to challenge this
Some state legislatures have already adopted “laws” exempting their states from compliance with a federal mandate
Your post sparked a great line of argument -
libiot:
Healthcare is a RIGHT!
American:
Oh, so you say healthcare is a right?
So I have the _right_ to get ANY healthcare I want, when I want it, at no expense to myself?
libiot:
Well, no, it has to be a reasonable and necessary treatment.
American:
Who determines “reasonable and necessary”?
libiot:
The panel on cost control.
American:
So, it’s only a “right” as far as the government gives you permission. I see.
This bill will allow the government to stick their fingers in your bank account. You tell the IRS that they can't. We'll see how that works.
