11th Circuit Court of Appeals ^

Before TJOFLAT, CARNES and KRAVITCH, Circuit Judges. PER CURIAM:
Orly Taitz appeals the district courts imposition of a monetary sanction against her in the sum of $20,000 pursuant to Rule 11(c)(3) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Taitz argues that (1) the district court was required to recuse after she challenged the procedure the court was employing to determine whether to sanction her under Rule 11 and (2), assuming that recusal was not required, the court failed to afford her the due process Rule 11(c)(3) requires.
We have fully considered Taitzs arguments. We find them unpersuasive and therefore affirm the district courts sanctions judgment.
AFFIRMED.

Your headline is about as accurate of a headline as can be expected. If that makes you a “roboposter,” I want the license to your software.

Judge Land directed the DOJ to determine whether he has the authority to make Orly pay the amount of the fine to the National Infantry Museum.
Yes. And the DOJ filed a brief telling the Judge that "it is the governments position that, notwithstanding the Courts good intentions, the monetary sanction cannot be paid to the Foundation and must be paid into the United States Treasury."
You can read the brief

Thanks. I missed that one.

Is Obama unqualified? Or, as some have suggested, he wants to pave the way for somebody else who might be unqualified? Or he wants to send the message that he is not to be questioned? All three sound right to me.

An After-Birther’s delight thread. I’ve heard 20 grand is nothing for her since Taitz has millions.
To: Red Steel
Some people are very concerned about where her check is. Not having access to her banking records or where a specific envelope moving through the USPS system might be I couldn’t answer that stupid question. lol

Luk 18:3 A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, appealing for justice against someone who had harmed her. The problem for Orly is that she can't figure out how Obama has harmed her or anyone else in his position as president.

That means she now can appeal to the Supreme Court. They may be in a better mood to listen now that the Usurper dissed them right to (some of) their faces, in front of the entire country.
OTOH, maybe not in this case.

Do you seriously think that the President of the U.S. and his wife ever plan on practicing law in IL or in any other state again? They are young, they'll need jobs.
OTOH, they also may have ambitions beyond the Presidency, like Supreme Court Justice. Nice to be a member of the bar if you want that job.

Or, as some have suggested, he wants to pave the way for somebody else who might be unqualified? The plot began with Chester Arthur who paved the way for Obama.

They may be in a better mood to listen now that the Usurper dissed them... Orly accused Roberts of treason so I wouldn't count on his support if I were her.

One step closer for the National Infantry Museum at Fort Benning to receive a $20,000.00 check. Some good will come out of this. Unfortunately, they won't be getting the money. Land asked the U.S. Attorney's office for a ruling on donating the money to the museum, but they replied that Federal law dictates that the money must be deposited with the U.S. Treasury. Orly will at least be helping to pay down the national debt.

Because attending CLEs is a pain in the ass.

What would be the point of the two of them giving up their licenses to practice law. They can afford to pay the dues every year, so there is no real good reason that I can think of.Lawyers are required to take continuing legal education classes every year to keep up their license. So most lawyers who don't practice (because they take a non-legal job in industry, or go into government) voluntarily become "inactive." If they had been disbarred or suspended, there would have to be a public record of that.

All Orly has to do is have appeal application assigned to Justice Clarance Thomas. This will be worth several bowls of popcorn.
The Obots are getting increasingly strident in dissing Orly. I mean she is a low rate lawlyer, scandel ridden AND a patriot. I admire her, she just keeps on trucking!Just listen to the strident desperation of the Obot attempts to defame a patriot who will not give up! The want to dehumanize her so that her coming "accidental death" will not raise any eyebrows?
GO ORLY! GO! Its laughable.

Okay. I didn’t realize they merely changed their status. I thought they gave up their licenses altogether.

They are young, they'll need jobs. The presidential pension is $194k/yr. Then there's speaking gigs, corporate board memberships, consultancies. Trust me, neither Obama is going to need their law license again.
