Actor Peter Graves was found dead Sunday at his home in Pacific Palisades, according to law enforcement sources. Graves, who stared in "Mission: Impossible," "Airplane!" and Billy Wilder's "Stalag 17"--apparently died of natural causes, the sources said.
Graves was 83, according to a biography on the website IMDB.com.

Always liked him from the old Mission Impossible days. I think he was James Arness’s bro. Matt Dillon.

Married to the same woman since 1950. You don't see that too much anymore, especially in Hollywood. RIP Mr. Graves.

I don’t know much about him, but some of the scenes he had during the “Airplane” movies are almost iconic. When you repeat one of the lines to someone, they almost always laugh, and then say a different line back to you.
“Have you ever been in a Turkish prison?”
“Do you like movies about gladiators?”
ROFL
... RIP

Enjoyed him in Winds of War and War & Remembrence just a few months ago. Loved that series and watch it over and over. God Bless his family.
Thanks Peter, you were a joy.

Mission Impossible ran for seven seasons, and Peter was in all but the first.

I think the name was originally Aurness or some such.
Childhood memory just came back.....Peter owned a motel in Palm Springs in the early 1950's when I was under ten years old; the parents had taken us kids there for a weekend, and we were all splashing in the pool. My older brother dunked me and I bounded back out of the water and yelled, "You nigger!" (no idea where that came from!).
The parents were so embarrassed they checked us out that afternoon and took us straight home.
Sigh.....that's my lone claim to a Peter Graves headshake.

“Lked him first on “Fury” back in the 50’s.”
I would think that is what he would be most rememebred for. They didn’t even mention it in the article.
