Israel exerts sovereign right to its capital as Biden looks on astounded

In the midst of a high-profile visit by Vice President Joe Biden, Israel on Tuesday unveiled plans for new housing in disputed Jerusalem, a surprise step that embarrassed and angered the highest-ranking Obama administration official yet to visit the country.
Biden, who had come to promote new peace talks and to smooth the Obama administration's strained relations with a longtime ally, instead denounced Israel's plans to build 1,600 new housing units in East Jerusalem as a threat to the search for peace.
"I condemn the decision by the government of Israel to advance planning for new housing units in East Jerusalem," Biden said, calling it "precisely the kind of step that undermines the trust we need right now."
"We must build an atmosphere to support negotiations, not complicate them," Biden said.
The sharp turn of events abruptly changed the tenor of the trip in its second day, coming just hours after the vice president proclaimed his love for Israel and declared enduring U.S. support. Biden's visit followed a year of tension brought on by Israel's defiance of the Obama administration's admonitions on precisely the same issue: housing settlements in disputed areas.
In Washington, the White House added its own criticism. But it was unclear how deeply the latest step by Israel would affect ties between the two countries, which have been strained by tensions over the Jewish state's hardline security measures.
Aides said Biden raised the issue with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at a dinner given in honor of the vice president's visit. U.S. officials have repeatedly warned Israel that such development in Jerusalem would anger Palestinians and further threaten prospects for peace.
Biden is to deliver a major address on U.S.-Israeli relations on Thursday. He will also meet with Palestinian and Jordanian officials.

"I condemn the decision by the government of Israel to advance planning for new housing units in East Jerusalem," Biden said Biden's initial condemnation elicited laughter from both God and His people.
"I condemn the decision by the illegitimate Federal government of America to advance planning for new unconstitutional usurpations from Washington DC", God responded, condemning Biden and his Unnamed Master to an eternity of burning introspection.

Marx was born Jewish. His family became Lutherans when he was a child. Marx was in no way a Jew. He was, however, a serious
antisemite.
Vladimir Ilyich Ulanov, aka Lenin, was not a Jew. He had one Jewish granparent, who had previously converted to Christianity. You have a better case that this petty noble was a Tatar and about as good a case that he is German.

Certainly. Lenin was of mixed ancestry but definitely had jewish ancestry on his fathers side I think. The point is that MOST of the leading Communists who took control of Russia in 1917-20 were of Jewish ethnicity...but not religious jews - the other horrible kind.
All minorities were overrepresented. However Latvians were the the most over-represented. That said, even using Nazi rules of who is a a Jew, Jews were a minority. Communists and useful idiot Christians just liked to blame Jews.

But part of the problem is that 2/3 of the Israeli have no more desire to please the Lord than those savages. This goes back to the day they left Egypt and crossed the Red sea.

Yep..I agree...No doubt we will be involved...the oil must flow. Reminds me of the movie “Dune” only they called it “spice”.
As for Biden..BIBI made it perfectly to obama... this last summer.. his policy on settlements. So Bidens show of surprise was hardly news to him..however it was a direct slap in the face to obama for even considering sending Biden to chit chat about “permission” from the US for anything Israel determines concerning Iran.

“Jews” participated disproportionately and decisively in the incipient Bolshevik regime.
That is a fact. But I also reiterate that no religious Jew did. Just as no religious Chrstians participated in the Nazi atrocities. In fact the overwhelming numbers of murdered Christians as opposed to other populations of faith testifie to that fact both during WWI and during the Soviet era.

Jews participated disproportionately and decisively in the incipient Bolshevik regime.
Like all minorities, they did. Given the open discrimination and Pogroms of Czarist Russia, Jews looked to all revolutionary movements. However, to solely point to Jews is wrong. Most minorities were heavily represented. And those that were not also tried to secede from Russia. Sadly, too many people only saw Jews. Communists used this two ways:
1. To brand their opponents antisemites.
2. To blame any excesses on Jews.
Poland went a step further in the 1960's by becoming openly antisemitic. However, Stalin wins the prize. He virtually eliminated the surviving Jewish Tatars by throwing them in the Muslims Tatars who had aided the Nazis. (There is a reason why there are fewer than 100 Krimchaks left today). And when he died, Stalin was laying the groundwork to send all Soviet Jews to Siberia.

Introspection? Your magnanimity is showing. I think you're giving Biden waaay too much credit.
