There Won't Be Reconciliation or Easy Path to Repealing Obamacare
Rush Limbaugh ^ | March 5, 2010 | Rush Limbaugh

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

.."Rush, you gotta remind people now the real trick here is there isn't going to be any reconciliation. If the House passes the Senate bill, it's a done deal." Obama had a meeting with all these guys yesterday, different groups of people. He said we don't have the votes for the public option right now but don't worry we're going to get it; we're going to ram this down people's throats. This is just the foundation, just the starting point. And that's damn true.

This is just the foundation if they get this. They don't have the votes now. They don't have the votes now, and I'm still not convinced that they're going to get close to having the votes in the House for the Senate bill. We'll keep a sharp eye. There's two weeks to go here before Obama's resurrection deadline of Easter Sunday.

...BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I got an e-mail question: "What do you mean, there won't be any reconciliation?" I spent some time on this yesterday afternoon and it's embarrassing that I missed this whole thing myself. All of this talk of reconciliation is just another head feint. All this talk of getting the Senate bill passed in the House and then back to the Senate for reconciliation where all the things the House wants get added in, the second bill, a third bill, not going to happen. The point is it was never the intention.

It's all been a head feint from the get-go. Once the House passes the Senate bill we've got Obamacare. The Senate's already passed it, the Christmas Eve bill, and the objective is what? To pass the Senate bill. There is no new bill. There is no new Obama bill. Pass the Senate bill. "But, Rush, but, Rush, it has the abortion lingo in it." Yeah, I know, and they're telling Stupak and the boys, "We'll fix that in the reconciliation." There isn't going to be a reconciliation.

The dems don’t want reconciliation. Its sole use is as a diversion and shield for house members. IF reconciliation were to be actually used, there would then be a sunset on the resulting law... ‘rats don’t want it to ever sunset (well, it would sunset with the destruction of the private sector and property rights).

Geeeeez .. don’t people get it .. without reconcillation .. there is no opportunity to repeal it.

WE MUST SHUT THIS CRAP DOWN NOW!!! WE MUST WARN STUPAK THAT THIS IS A RUSE .. HE’S BEING PLAYED LIKE A VIOLIN!

THERE IS NOOOOOOOO PLAN TO INSERT THE ABORTION LANGUAGE INTO THE CURRENT SENATE BILL.

The Obama people must have already known that with reconcillation - there would be an opportunity next January for the new Conservative congress to repeal Obamacare.

That’s the only reason the dems are having to play the game using the Senate bill .. and the BLUE DOGS BE DAMNED. If they cave and vote for this mess .. we’re going to be in our own “hurt locker” for a long time.

I really want to know, because all the investigating I have done .. I don’t see how they undo such a complicated mess.

“The Obamacare Repeal Pledge”

Don’t forget to add the repeal of the FEDERAL COORDINATING COUNCIL FOR COMPARATIVE EFFECTIVENESS RESEARCH, which they passed under the radar as part of Porkulus.

Added spending of $1.1 biilion for the 15-member council to determine the “relative strengths and weaknesses of various medical interventions”.

Can you say rationing? Maybe death panels?

“I don’t understand why repeal would be hard. “

This is how Rush explained it. A business now pays, say, 14% for health insurance for their employees. The Ozombie plan will ONLY cost 8%. In two years or less, how many business will be offering health insurance? It will be hard to repeal because it won’t take very long for the majority of the country will be on government health plan, because the businesses will dump their employees into it, to try to stay profitable in our worsening economic climate.

“I still think it has nothing to do with health or care. It is a revenue stream to stave off the collapse of the economy.”

Absolutely. This is about setting up ANOTHER ponzi scheme to rip off the citizens of this country, AND get their filthy hands a lot more power over our lives. This is what they REALLY want. It truly has NOTHING to do with health care.

They are all liars.

This is the most disturbing part of the plan. Some of the health care stories coming out of the British system are nightmares, that is where this is headed. Britain also has a problem with waste and corruption of the health-care dollars.
