In perhaps the worst possible development for the radical left since the discovery of Karl Rove's now infamous "Weather Machine," Governor Palin's recently exposed top secret "laugh track" machine appears to also have even more dastardly powers than were originally feared.

In addition to altering the space-time continuum, and reprogramming the master computers at NBC – to cause laughter during Sarah's monologue to appear where none had been before, and send well-intentioned jeers and "groans" from her wannabe stalkers into the abyss – this mysterious device apparently also exerts some kind of irresistible mind control powers over the loyal fans of "American Idol" megastar Adam Lambert, causing many of them to actually like the producer of the upcoming new "Alaska Valley Days" TV series, Governor Sarah Palin.

Or, at least, that's what the Kos Kids would like you to believe.

Many of those wacky ultra-left "conspiracy-mongers" who post at such online cesspools as the Daily Kos, Huffpo and DU have been foaming at the mouth all week about Sarah's "rock star" performance during for last week's taping of "Day Two" of Jay Leno's return to the traditional 11:35 pm time slot for the "Tonight Show."

Since I was actually in the studio audience last week when Governor Palin made her "comedy debut" – with a small band of "Palin palm print"-bearing FReepers (and FRiends) who had crashed the party with the intention of acting as "Ed McMahon" to Sarah's "Johnny Carson" – I call BS on their widely-reported, but easily-debunked, "laugh track" conspiracy theory.

In my not so humble opinion, however, the REAL "back story" behind last week's studio audience, which has naturally NOT been covered in the "State-Controlled Media" – was that a huge percentage of that relatively "pro-Palin" audience last week were "glamberts"– that is, hard core fans of "American Idol" singer Adam Lambert, whom many music lovers view as a contemporary reincarnation of Elvis. (Or, perhaps Liberace.)

In this thread, which will serve as the "after action" report for our recent Leno FReep, I intend to explore this strange – and very unexpected (to me) twist – on the controversial "big tent" philosophy of the new Republican party. And that strange new twist is, many Adam Lambert fans support Sarah Palin!

I am particularly interested in hearing on this thread from ADAM LAMBERT FANS who support Sarah Palin, but I would also like to hear from CONSERVATIVES who may have reservations about welcoming this new group of Palin supporters, many of whom have been NOT previously been engaged (or informed) in the political arena.

Personally, I like the concept of "My tent, my rules."

That is, we welcome the electoral support of just about ANYBODY – but only on OUR terms. I believe that the conservative political movement should be like America itself: everyone is welcome here – IF you agree to certain fundamental, non-negotiable principles.

Freaks have always been idols. Elvis was a freak. The Beatles were freaks (in terms of their music,) Led Zeppelin were freaks, just about every metal band from the 1980s were cross-dressing freaks (in Dee Snyder's case, quite literally.) History is a circle, and looking at the other side and saying "that's not natural" is a little short-sighted.

As alienating as his looks are, I’ve learned to not necessarily go by the “weirdness” factor in determining folks’ political leanings. You look at Alice Cooper, Dave Mustaine, Sunset Nation, and Stuck Mojo (whose “Crooked Figurehead” is a scathing personal indictment of Bill Clinton) and wonder if bands have finally figured out that the only way they can truly be successful is under capitalism.

When was the last time a flaming gay entertainer was anything but a liberal?

This is the "after action" report of an major recent L.A. chapter FReep during which we helped to support a conservative leader whom many think will be the next President of the United States, as she appeared on a national broadcast seen by almost SIX MILLION people -- not to mention all of the millions of OTHER people who saw (or heard about) this event afterwards, online and in the State-Controlled Media.

Looking at young men who are openly homosexual and announcing it to children who are watching them on television and who are supposedly idolizing them, is far worse than short-sighted.

Agreed. I'm just dismayed to see Sarah being tied in so closely now to show biz, pop culture and tabloid sensationalism....and she's brought it on herself.

Although we share the same philosophy, I'm afraid I'm losing interest in her as presidential timber, especially after her endorsement and campaigning for McManiac.

She's making so many questionable choices, I truly believe she's not going to run for higher office again, and I wouldn't blame her, frankly. I'm just not hitching my star exclusively to her anymore......she isn't turning out to be a Margaret Thatcher inspiration-type, at least to me.

Pity. Too bad she's being mentioned in the same breath as Adam Lambert.
