Sarah Palin's secret "laugh track" machine at Jay Leno show: makes Adam Lambert fans like her, too!
New Palin scandal: Leno might have piped in some laughter for her jokes ^ | March 6, 2010 | RonDog (and FRiends)

Sarah Palin's secret "laugh track" machine at Jay Leno show:
makes Adam Lambert fans like her, too!

(An "after action" report from FReepers who were actually in the studio audience.)
In perhaps the worst possible development for the radical left since the discovery of Karl Rove's now infamous "Weather Machine," Governor Palin's recently exposed top secret "laugh track" machine appears to also have even more dastardly powers than were originally feared.

In addition to altering the space-time continuum, and reprogramming the master computers at NBC – to cause laughter during Sarah's monologue to appear where none had been before, and send well-intentioned jeers and "groans" from her wannabe stalkers into the abyss – this mysterious device apparently also exerts some kind of irresistible mind control powers over the loyal fans of "American Idol" megastar Adam Lambert, causing many of them to actually like the producer of the upcoming new "Alaska Valley Days" TV series, Governor Sarah Palin.

Or, at least, that's what the Kos Kids would like you to believe.

Many of those wacky ultra-left "conspiracy-mongers" who post at such online cesspools as the Daily Kos, Huffpo and DU have been foaming at the mouth all week about Sarah's "rock star" performance during for last week's taping of "Day Two" of Jay Leno's return to the traditional 11:35 pm time slot for the "Tonight Show."

Since I was actually in the studio audience last week when Governor Palin made her "comedy debut" – with a small band of "Palin palm print"-bearing FReepers (and FRiends) who had crashed the party with the intention of acting as "Ed McMahon" to Sarah's "Johnny Carson" – I call BS on their widely-reported, but easily-debunked, "laugh track" conspiracy theory.

In my not so humble opinion, however, the REAL "back story" behind last week's studio audience, which has naturally NOT been covered in the "State-Controlled Media" – was that a huge percentage of that relatively "pro-Palin" audience last week were "glamberts"– that is, hard core fans of "American Idol" singer Adam Lambert, whom many music lovers view as a contemporary reincarnation of Elvis. (Or, perhaps Liberace.)

In this thread, which will serve as the "after action" report for our recent Leno FReep, I intend to explore this strange – and very unexpected (to me) twist – on the controversial "big tent" philosophy of the new Republican party. And that strange new twist is, many Adam Lambert fans support Sarah Palin!

I am particularly interested in hearing on this thread from ADAM LAMBERT FANS who support Sarah Palin, but I would also like to hear from CONSERVATIVES who may have reservations about welcoming this new group of Palin supporters, many of whom have been NOT previously been engaged (or informed) in the political arena.

Personally, I like the concept of "My tent, my rules."

That is, we welcome the electoral support of just about ANYBODY – but only on OUR terms. I believe that the conservative political movement should be like America itself: everyone is welcome here – IF you agree to certain fundamental, non-negotiable principles.

Please post YOUR comments and opinions about Sarah Palin and the "glamberts" here.

Thank you,
RonDog

The plan (after placing a bumber sticker on car), is to go to home depot to replace the oak mop handle, having brought a sawed off section of the old one for comparision prior to purchase.

Then, walk a little slower to the doors, maybe have a smoke or two before going in.

Palin has not acted against any meaningful conservative principle.
Perhaps you should take a good hard look at what motivates your political thinking.

Oh please. This is getting ridiculous. Is there to be NO divergence of thought, lest our motives be questioned?

Thanks for bringing home to me why I stay off most of these lock-step thinking threads...most of them are a big fat BORE.

You don’t create “divergence of thought” for its own sake.

Your thoughts should diverge from those of other people if the objects of your thinking differ from theirs.

Learn the difference.

Name the principle she violated.

She hasn't violated any principle - she's been a beautiful voice of conservatism. But she is not going to be taken seriously as a presidential candidate by a majority of people if she stays on this path. There is nothing wrong with what she is doing - but she has got a big job ahead of her to establish some gravitas on a national and international scale.

She's entertaining to watch, and she says the right things (except for her endorsement of John McCain) - but that alone is not going to be enough for her to beat Barack Obama in 2012. We need a SERIOUS candidate, and we need to be cultivating them NOW.

My husband owns every tool available in the western hemisphere, but what I think he really needs, is a pair of bifocals.

Which, in my world and at my age, counts as a ‘tool’!

*:)

luv the hubby, but the crooked too short bookshelf up above my computer desk...not so much.

From your own profile page: "Many of these leftists are simply blind followers, in the useful idiot tradition."

I rest my case.

Palin campaigns for McCain out of loyalty.

Meanwhile she advocates individual liberty, less government intrusion, life, drilling, and common sense among other things.

You have no argument.

She needs to get serious and establish her credibility on very serious issues.

$$$$

Like Romney is doing? How’s that working out for him!

Sarah could spend every day addressing the most serious issues affecting the world, and media coverage would still attack her.

White House “reporters” are openly saying “we” versus “the Republicans” in their “news” programs now. Sarah would not have a chance if she allowed “reporters” to “report” what she was offering in the way of “serious issues.”

Some of her accomplishments were a positive revamping of the energy policies of Alaska, and major agreements with Big Oil companies up there.

From the “news” media “reporting” on her: crickets.

Last week she also met with Mark Burnett, the reality show producer, about creating a reality show featuring her family and Alaska.

If it does come to pass, it’s something that can cut both ways if she does have remaining political ambitions.

Maybe with your posts, you can paint her as someone who’s not serious.

But you’re up against Palin herself.

Stop it with your strawman argument, already. I have no interest in taking your bait.

I haven't said one word about Palin. I suggest you learn to read more closely if you want to have an intelligent discussion. I've been around too long to fall for this blather.

You mean the blindness that makes me look at whether she’s conservative or not?

Or the blindness that caused me to put her on probation when I first heard she was campaigning for McCain?

I think you’ve inverted the definition of blindness.

You’re not really making sense.

If you have time to make these posts, have some confidence in your ideas.

“Again, I don't believe she intends to run for the highest office in 2012.”

I agree that Sarah does not intend to run for President in 2012. However, I am sure she would be open to taking the position of Press Secretary for President Allen West!

Yes, it is my goal to get Congressman Allen West to run for President in 2012!

I’m continually amazed at the way Palin’s detractors—from Letterman to Stewart to the leftist media in general—have moved in the direction of favoring her.

The term for it is “sea change.”

I don’t think Sarah Palin is out to compete with anyone. Nor does she want to be anyone’s pop idol. She has a book out. It’s traditional for authors to make the rounds. She’s a pretty down to earth person and doesn’t see herself as “above” anyone, including those who watch the Tonite Show. I bet Reagan would not have had any problems sitting down with Johnny Carson as he was a man of the people as well. Perhaps part of our problem is that we’ve created this image of politicians. This is okay to do, that is not. This show is okay, that one is too folksy and lowbrow. Look where those elitist expectations have gotten us: lawyers in congress and a Marxist professor who knows nothing of the real world in the White House. Sarah goes where the people are. As Michael Reagan said, she’s his dad in a skirt. Never thought I’d see another Reagan in my lifetime, but whether she runs or not, she’ll be a force for conservative values and an advocate for the silent majority in flyover country.
