Been waiting for this because I think this is important and I'm hoping some of my fellow Beckerheads will help me out with it.

We have all heard about the forced unionization of home care workers in Michigan and all assume it was something the democrats did.

In this case it looks like the republicans are the ones selling us out to the SEIU and facillitated the whole thing right from the start. With all the squealing that comes from the right when Glenn Beck compares the GOP with democrats, I think its important that all see this and hopefully we can get Glenn's attention so he can shine a light on the progressive behavior of these "republicans".

On Aug. 5, 2009, Sen. Jason Allen, R-Traverse City, introduced Senate Bill 731, which would give statutory cover to a scheme transferring approximately $6.6 million in taxpayer money annually to the SEIU government employee union, one of the parents of ACORN. This is accomplished by creating a shell government "employer" for some 42,000 individuals who are actually hired by elderly or disabled Medicaid recipients to provide personal care services in their homes.

What this bill did was create the panel that was a requirement to make the home care workers state employees which in turn allowed their forced unionization.

Please read on and notice that "republicans" who signed on with this were generously rewarded with endorsements and campaign contributions. Mike Nofs was even provided with 4 SEIU members to work on his campaign which may be a serious legal issue.
