In a perhaps-not-unrelated move, universal catalytic converters, and those that are model specific but not ‘certified’ by the state are now illegal in California; residents of that state must now pay the dealer prices for their catcons as they no longer have a choice.

And guess which cars need cats more often than others.

That doesn't surprise me. Best thing Californians can do is ride those people out on a rail.
