Liz Cheney will address the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in April, the conference organizers announced Wednesday.
Cheney, the founder of Keep America Safe and the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, said she is honored to speak at the New Orleans conference April 8-11.
I look forward to addressing the largest Republican gathering ahead of the 2012 Republican National Convention and discussing ideas that will secure our countrys future and keep America strong, free and prosperous, she said in a statement.
SRLC President and CEO Charlie Davis called Cheney a powerful voice in the Republican Party.
...Cheney recently spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference, where her father surprised the crowd by coming on stage to symbolically pass the torch to his daughter.
The former vice president said that he is enormously proud of his daughter and joked that she said I could come with her, but that I had to be arm candy.

Your posts are not welcome on this thread. Stop spamming; you are WAY off topic.
Social liberal politicians in the GOP are easy for the left to turn, why is that?)
You’re being a little tough on Liz, who can hardly be faulted for standing by her sister even if she comes out on the wrong side of the issue.
In politics, you will be well served observing an 85 percent rule, conceding that no one is EVER going to side with your positions 100 percent of the time.
And as for Liz backing Romney, that’s easily enough made irrelevant by the rest of us in spring 2012, as we nominate a conservative (preferrably first name Sarah).
And — as for the question your tag rhetorically raises, I am reminded of Chesterton, who would have said you are definitely on to something:
“Tolerance is the virture of the man without convictions.”
Odd, I didn’t even post to you but you feel the need to make a personal attack on me, aren’t you one of our old romneybots?
The homosexual agenda is the new internal wedge issue in the GOP and so far it looks like the Cheneys and Mitt Romney are on the wrong side.
I didn’t make a personal attack but pointed out you are off-topic. If you take it personally, that is your problem.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure you are one of our worst romneybots.
This was a personal attack “Another unwelcome irrelevant post, not surprising given the source.”, and it was out of the blue, that is the same style that you use when pushing the pro-homosexual Mitt Romney.
That conference sounds like fun. I really like Liz Cheney! She is definitely her father’s daughter!
Pinging you to conference announcement, list of speakers, etc.
Thanks, La Enchiladita! Sure wish I could attend this...
So do I. It looks like the kick-off to the 2012 campaign season... Woo Hoo!!!
