You’re being a little tough on Liz, who can hardly be faulted for standing by her sister even if she comes out on the wrong side of the issue.

In politics, you will be well served observing an 85 percent rule, conceding that no one is EVER going to side with your positions 100 percent of the time.

And as for Liz backing Romney, that’s easily enough made irrelevant by the rest of us in spring 2012, as we nominate a conservative (preferrably first name Sarah).

And — as for the question your tag rhetorically raises, I am reminded of Chesterton, who would have said you are definitely on to something:

“Tolerance is the virture of the man without convictions.”

The homosexual agenda is the new internal wedge issue in the GOP and so far it looks like the Cheneys and Mitt Romney are on the wrong side.
