She “broke it down” as they say. Into edible, tasty morsels and sound bites. But not condescending. She just came into millions of American’s living rooms kind of like a friendly neighbor right from next door. That is a gift. Obama, due to his elitism and disdain (in his heart for flyover people) cannot do it, and his phoniness comes right through. This is something you cannot “act” or “practice on”. It eithers comes naturally as a gift from God, or it does not. Obama is the loser in that department. Well, the next President of the United States is going to have to be very skilled at doing this before the American Electorate.
When I watched that clip on the NBC site, I thought that she had taken over Leno's show!
There she was, doing the best monologue ever to be seen on the Tonight Show since Carson! LOL
One last comment.
And that is the REAL SARAH PALIN we seen tonite.
Me too, I thought she was doing the opening monologue. I was like OMG she is taking over for Jay..she did GREAT..those Jokes, absolutely HILARIOUS! The one about The McTwist and Health care, LOL funny stuff. she rocked the house tonight. Jay was in awe of her

I really don't know. Yesterday I heard on a Massachusetts radio station that Romney was starting a media blitz this week, promoting his new book (and himself, of course). I think so far he has appeared on The View and on Fox (not sure what show, I didn't see him), and on Letterman.
He’ll never get Sarah on his sick, sorry show. Never.

Sarah’s apprearance was announced last week and either simultaneously or right after, Letterman announced Romney. Either way, Leno won the night.
I heard a small group of people cheering very loudly for her and one guy voice that shouted approval of a couple of things she said. You, perhaps? :)
Here in Ak, we have the Anch Daily Worker (san fran family owned commie rag) and they have always hated Palin, goes way back to early 90s. Well they have a 1/2 hour local political show on fri night on PBS channel, called Anch Edition. They use to dedicate most of their show to bad mouthing Palin. Ever since she went big time a few months back, they are meek as church mice about Palin; her name is a vulgar word, to be spoken in hushed tones , never in public, ha ha. When the nationwide media stops even talking about Sarah Palin, you'll know it's all over for their kind, ha. I keep calling Anch Paper and tell them if they don't start on about Palin again; I'm going to quit watching their show. They don't think its all that funny.

Romney was NOT complimentary. See #1 and #2.
What I heard:
Letterman said something to Romney about Sarah Palin (Did he ask her if Gov. Palin was qualified to be President?) The audience groaned loudly, some boos.
Romney was evasive, but stated that "Sarah Palin is terrific". More groans and boos from the audience.
I don't remember what was said next, but Letterman scrunched up his face at the mention of Sarah Palin's name, then Romney said: "You'd better watch it, Dave... Sarah's got a rifle!" The audience laughed.
That's how I remembered it. I may have it on tape... I'll check tomorrow. Too tired now... ;-)
Oh, and I take it you saw the sneak preview. You’re heat wave cracked me up. I’m freezing cold here in much the same temperature.
