One race people should watch is for state rep in the 7th district.

Incumbent Tommy Merritt advertises himself as the “Taxpayer’s Best Friend.” But he was single-handedly responsible for the fact that Texas didn’t pass a law requiring photo ID law to vote. The rest of the GOP members of the legislature made that abundantly clear.

So he has a serious, conservative opponent named David Simpson running on many issues, but largely on photo ID. And in an act of unbelievable chutzpah, Merrit has been running ads talking about “The Merritt Plan” for photo voter ID!!! Really shameless.

Anyway, you can track that here at the link below...Simpson is winning right now! Trust me, this is a big race and would be a huge upset of a long-time incumbent.

I hope this is the last your state hears of Medina.

Oh, me, too! And her little yip-yappy fans. LOL

Bill White is a decent man and has been a fairly good mayor in Houston, but he still belongs to the democrat party, and as such, in a state governor office, he will be obliged to implement democrat policies, namely, god eliminating, tax soaking, rights crushing communistic nationalist socialist programs and theories.

Not a lot to grab on to at White’s webpage. Nothing on immigration. He does have this and that to feed the teacher’s unions and worst of all, he wants free or low cost college for students who agree to enter “public service”.

No good options for Governor:

Medina - 9/11 comments. She can’t win the general.
Perry - 10 years is enough, for any elected official.
Hutchinson - RINO tendencies.

I went with Hutchinson.

U. S. Representative District 17

Bill Flores wins Burleson, Robertson, Madison counties; larger counties still mostly outstanding.

Curnock is in 2nd ahead of McIntyre.

I'd like to see Flores win; Curnock and McIntyre each have had a shot at this race before.

I’m just really grateful that I live in Texas.

Interesting side-note that I hope doesn’t get me in trouble. (Don’t post the little boy saying “That’s racist” - even though it cracks me up every time I see it.) The 3-4 actual participating voters in the Democrat booths at the time that I went to vote today were all black - as well as the poll workers.

The Republican booths were full and a line of people were waiting.

Seems like there are half a billion people in TX.

Not that there is anything wrong with that.

I heard on Greta that Medina blew it when she couldn’t say if she was a truther or not.

Good thing she’s in 3rd place
