WASHINGTON – US President Barack Obama should make a dramatic trip to the Middle East, introduce a new peace plan, and refer it to the United Nations should Israel or the Palestinians refuse to endorse it, a former senior US official says.
In a Washington Post piece he co-wrote, Former National security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski argues that "Only a bold and dramatic gesture in a historically significant setting can generate the political and psychological momentum needed for a major breakthrough."
Notably, Brzezinski recently participated in a meeting held by President Obama with several senior figures and specialists to discuss his new Mideast peace plan.
The US president should appear both at the Knesset and before the Palestinian parliament and announce his new plan for ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Brzezinski wrote.
"He should do so in the company of Arab leaders and members of the Quartet," he wrote. "A subsequent speech by Obama in Jerusalem's Old City, addressed to all the people in the region and evocative of his Cairo speech to the Muslim world in June 2009, could be the culminating event in this journey for peace."

However, Brzezinski warns that "If the Israelis or the Palestinians refuse to accept this basic formula as the point of departure for negotiations, the Obama administration must be prepared to pursue its initiative by different means."
"The administration must convey to the parties that if the offer is rejected by either or both, the United States will seek the UN Security Council's endorsement of this framework for peace," he wrote, "thus generating worldwide pressure on the recalcitrant party."

I am fast understanding that the attention given to muslim womans plight is misplaced as they are equally if not more responsible for how these children are treated. In Brazil…where Obama has ordered his Defense Secretary Robert Gates to sign an historic defense agreement with this South American nuclear power whose President, Lula da Silva, has praised Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, slammed Israel, and has announced his intentions to visit Iran next month.
To all of these actions (and too many more to mention in this short report) Russian Military Analysts warn that Obama has pushed our world towards total global war more than any single leader since Nazi Germany’s Adolph Hitler, to which Russia and China are, likewise, preparing to confront to stop the Americans.
Most unfortunately for those Americans living under the Obama regime is that their attempts to stop the radical socialism he has pushed upon them from destroying their once great Nation has failed as new reports from the United States are showing that in under two years Obama and his cohorts have succeeded in making nearly 50% of these people support the other 50% who aren’t working. It's something more sinister or much more than sheer affection for them on his part. Why would he and his minions remove every word that "offends" those who have been responsible for the majority of all terrorist attacks (including the words "terrorist" and "jihadi")? CAIR seems to have a place in his breast pocket (close to his heart).
Our Navy Seal is still locked up fighting for his freedom for allegedly hittiing a terrorist (while Americans are aghast one of our finest is treated like this), while actual terrorists get TV, the latest movies spit and throw fecal material at guards and even get released to island paradises (Bermuda for one).
Whoever replaces this president will have a gigantic burden convincing our former allies that the vast majority of Americans were not responsible for the socialist/marxist/communist allegiances this president chose to replace them with.

I have understood there are some well known people who do post on FR...but I enjoy the fact they are not known and do offer opinions, debate and speculate however they wish. There is freedom for them in this, and we all have the priviledge of their imput...and that is a good thing.
Remember, Obama sat in Rev Wright’s church for 20 years and listened to him condemn, America and the Jews.
Some of it rubbed off on the poser messiah.
