The guy on CNN was very informative. Tsunami has been generated. This was one plate sliding under another. Lots of water moved if this guy is correct.

For what it’s worth, the Haiti quake was Mag 7.0 at 8.1 miles deep.

It is deeper than Haiti, I remember that much
