Jeb Bush, GOP: Time to leave Reagan behind
The Washington TImes ^ | May 3, 2009 | Joseph Curl

Posted on 02/25/2010 4:29:48 PM PST by Brices Crossroads

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Saturday that it's time for the Republican Party to give up its "nostalgia" for the heyday of the Reagan era and look forward, even if it means stealing the winning strategy deployed by Democrats in the 2008 election.

"You can't beat something with nothing, and the other side has something. I don't like it, but they have it, and we have to be respectful and mindful of that," Mr. Bush said.

The former president's brother, often mentioned as a potential candidate in 2012, said President Obama's message of hope and change during the 2008 campaign clearly resonated with Americans.

"So our ideas need to be forward looking and relevant. I felt like there was a lot of nostalgia and the good old days in the [Republican] messaging. I mean, it's great, but it doesn't draw people toward your cause," Mr. Bush said.

I hope America doesn't fall for another anti-Reagan big-government spendaholic again. Bushbama was bad enough.

I prefer the memory of Reagan who believed in the common person such as being allowed to make their own decisions without being “managed” by the elite. The Bushes, who are socialist lite believe that the elite know’s what’s best with some personal responsibility where as the democrats thay we are idiots can should not be allowed to make our own decisions.

***Jeb Bush’s comments to Newsmax in which he acknowledges Sarah Palin’s “charisma” but says she needs to add “some depth of understanding of the complexity of life”.***

Jeb is confusing character with charisma and dismissing common sense for complexity.

He is really irritating.

Here you go....I am not certain if you need to use the * though

“The Upside Down Filter

To make text upside down with CSS, you need to use the “flip” filter:

<*font style=”filter: flipv; height: 1;”>This is upside down text.<*/font>

You can copy and paste the code above, and change “This is the upside down text” to whatever text you want to display upside down. You do not need to make any other changes.

The attribute for the flip filter is “filter: flipv;” which specifies that the text between the style tags should be flipped vertically, making it upside down. For filters to work, you must also set a dimension for the item going to be, in this case, flipped. Because we are using the filter on text, you only need to set a height for it to flip.”

“Has this dewd been gettin’ shock treatments?

Or is he just that friggin dumb?”

Reminds me of the question from Forrest Gump,”Are you crazy or just plain stupid?”

Answer: “Stupid is as stupid does.”
