February 23, 2010 Rush Limbaugh Knocks Glenn Beck; Criticized for "Reparations" Comment
Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh is criticizing Fox News host Glenn Beck over Beck's criticisms of the Republican Party at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday.
At that event, Beck said he has "not heard the people in the Republican Party yet admit they have a problem" and said that he doesn't "know what they stand for."
Glenn Beck: GOP Needs to Admit it Has a Problem
"I would not have said that the only people who can stop Obama, Republicans, should be excoriated for being just as bad," Limbaugh said on his radio show (watch at left, via Mediaite). "I don't know how you can say that the Republicans are just as bad as the Democrats. It would never occur to me to say that. I don't know what the objective would be."
The incident is the latest demonstration of Beck's unique position in the political landscape. A hero in the Tea Party movement, he's not shy about criticizing Republicans.
But he has also shown a willingness to break with right-wing orthodoxy, as evidenced by a new interview in which he says he believes global warming is real and thinks a legitimate case can be made that it's been caused by mankind.
Beck even goes so far as to question the connection between the GOP and perhaps its most admired member, telling USA Weekend that "I don't think [Ronald] Reagan was a real Republican."
Back to Limbaugh: The conservative flamethrower is once again angering liberals, this time for casting the health care reform effort as "a civil rights bill" that amounts to "reparations."

Did Beck dispute the man made global BS comment?
This, from the blowhard who said he was done carrying water for fake conservatives. A plague on all their houses.
Try gathering facts before you jump to ridiculous conclusions.
Beck is coming off as a flake to me as time goes on.
The MSM is in high gear to spread division among conservatives with their disinformation and pitting one conservative against another.
They seem to have plenty of accomplices on this forum who have fallen for that trick.
I'm hoping we can reflect on this and realize we are actually helping them. It's almost as bad as if we were contributing to the DNC.
You are very correct. This is the MSM contriving a controversy where there is none.
Not true. Where is that coming from?
This is not what Beck thinks.
Glenn was just on tv criticizing Algore for his lies about global warming.

It has ALWAYS been a “reparations” bill. Everything Obama does is racist, because that’s who he is, a racist. He’s determined to, as Rush correctly says, “return the nation’s wealth to its rightful owners.” How in the world that has anything to do with Beck, I’m mystified. Only CBS could pull that one out.
Quite frankly, I am sticking with Beck. Flame me all you want, but his show is doing more to inform people than his detractors are.
I want Obama stopped amd a bunch of folks telling us it might happen or hope for it while we end up stuck with Mitt is not good enough. Guess what? Just wait until 2012 when you are asked ONCE MORE to hold your nose because Romney is better than Obama.
The GOP is dead without the Tea Party conservatives.
That is why Obama said he may have to break from Wright. It was never that Obama did not agree with Wright, it was about the fact that he could not snooker the people unless he separated from Wright.

I am not a Beck or Rush groupie, although I do recognize and appreciate both of them for what they are. IIRC, Beck made an analogy to AA's "12 Step Program" and that the first step towards recovery "is admitting that I have a problem." Beck's point is that the GOP still does not understand that it has a problem, as evidenced by the fact that it continues to throw its support to the very same politicians and policies that got us voted out of the White House and Congress in the first place. The party continues to support the likes of McLame, Romney, Graham, Christ, Snow, Collins, and Spector (up until the day he switched parties), even though they have supported over the years some variation of open borders, cap and trade, higher taxes, bigger government, TARP, the so-called stimulus bill, pork-barrel spending, and the thousands of laws and regulations that have impaired our ability to become energy independent. In some respects, the GOP has been just as bad as the RATs and until the GOP recognizes that they have a problem, they will not get better.
?
Could you provide a link to Beck stating that he believes in global warming, please. Also I’d like to see a link to Beck’s remarks about reparations and redistribution of wealth. I’ve been away from computers and other media for awhile and I would just like to read the comments in context. I’ve heard Beck say similar things about reparations, and redistribution and he certainly wasn’t endorsing them.
When D.C. had nearly 5 feet of snow from two recent blizzards, Glenn Beck said on his radio show, “This is like God saying,” (and Beck then uses his “mob boss” voice, “How’s that global warming working out for ya?”
I’ve always heard Glenn ridicule and mock so-called global warming on his radio show.
I never heard the comment about Ronald Reagan not being a Republican.....if Glenn actually said that, he probably meant Ronald Reagan was a Conservative. As we all know, there’s a difference between being a Republican and being a Conservative.
