February 23, 2010 Rush Limbaugh Knocks Glenn Beck; Criticized for "Reparations" Comment
Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh is criticizing Fox News host Glenn Beck over Beck's criticisms of the Republican Party at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday.
At that event, Beck said he has "not heard the people in the Republican Party yet admit they have a problem" and said that he doesn't "know what they stand for."
Glenn Beck: GOP Needs to Admit it Has a Problem
"I would not have said that the only people who can stop Obama, Republicans, should be excoriated for being just as bad," Limbaugh said on his radio show (watch at left, via Mediaite). "I don't know how you can say that the Republicans are just as bad as the Democrats. It would never occur to me to say that. I don't know what the objective would be."
The incident is the latest demonstration of Beck's unique position in the political landscape. A hero in the Tea Party movement, he's not shy about criticizing Republicans.
But he has also shown a willingness to break with right-wing orthodoxy, as evidenced by a new interview in which he says he believes global warming is real and thinks a legitimate case can be made that it's been caused by mankind.
Beck even goes so far as to question the connection between the GOP and perhaps its most admired member, telling USA Weekend that "I don't think [Ronald] Reagan was a real Republican."
Back to Limbaugh: The conservative flamethrower is once again angering liberals, this time for casting the health care reform effort as "a civil rights bill" that amounts to "reparations."

If you are going to go after Beck, at least do it with some aplomb. Savage calls him a “hemorrhoid with ears”.
Then again he calls O’Reilly the “leprechaun”, Rush the “golfer”, Hannity the “wallbanger”
Funny thing, I listened to Rush lately. Haven’t heard this.
Glenn Beck lampooned the USA Weekend article... he said he didn’t know those things either, because their not true.
True. CBS and the others in the MSM are throwing everything at Beck when there is even the slightest disagreement between him and the other conservatalkers.
Just what we need. A conservative crack-up.
Look at the source dummies. This is a blatent attempt to divide us and discredit Beck who has exposed their asses.
Beck is simply trying to make the GOP more conservative, whats wrong with that?
Unless you think Jim Jeffords, Arlen Spectre, Olympia Snowe and JOhn McCain are the kind of people we need running the party?
I liked and listened to Beck, always have, still do. Even bought one of his early books, The Real America, in which I first began to see him as a visionary. However, I’ve been listening to Rush longer. I hate to see the two squaring off. Sometimes, I wonder if Beck calculated if he leans Libertarian, he can’t be accused of being a right wing republican fanatic. For me, when it comes right down to it, Rush is da man.
Yes, I know that. But none of that is in any of the proposed bills so that is a non-sequitur to my question.
That’s good to hear.
I cannot believe that conservatives are this syupid to not see what is going on here.
Yet, daily, we are seeing people buy it.
Rush and Glenn are the best, you others, get out of the way.
as for the AGW crap... a 2 second search on Google can find Glenn’s response.

“”Ten things you never thought you’d hear from Glenn Beck. In fact, I read it and there are like four things in there I never thought I’d hear from Glenn Beck because I don’t think I said them.””
etc etc
That was more work than World Net Daily put into it.
Get a grip, Beck never said any of that stuff. The WND is trying to get back at him for dinging the birthers...
Day late on Rush and this “get Glenn” has run its course when MSM seek to divide and conquer.
Rush refused to comment on Glenn Beck today because he refrains from criticizing guys on our side.
Rush never mentioned Beck.
He did however say the “Republican Party is NOT the problem”
Arlen Spectre, Jim Jeffords, Olympia Snowe, John McCain, Michael Steele.... yep Not the Problems.... //sarcasm
When he’s not sniveling.
Seriously, he’s wearing it thin.
I tune him for ENTERTAINMENT, but switch the channel after a few minutes.
You know when you can tell that you’ve spoken a truth that the left wanted to remain hidden?
They become “enflamed” and “outraged”.
Here, I don’t have the audience that Limbaugh does, but let me state openly and directly:
Every policy of the 0bama administration has been de facto reparations.
Beck hasn’t said they’re (GOP Congresscritters) are all as bad...just some are as bad, and I totally agree.
I was so mad when we squandered the high ground during the Bush years with all the spending, and it was on both sides of the aisle.
