ABC News has begun the process of eliminating 300 to 400 positions at the news division by asking employees to participate in a buyout of their services.
In a move that has been rumored for weeks, and coming on the heels of layoffs at CBS News, ABC's cuts are a combination of union and non-union jobs affecting all areas of ABC News.

She's an idiot, but she's a good looking idiot. I find the World News tonight most entertaining and informative when I have it muted.
I can’t imagine this surprises anyone. Less and less people get their news from ABC and it seems ABC pretty much reports what Mrs. Doubtfire (aka Robert Gibbs) and his staff at the Obama White House faxes over. The budget seems to be to spare no expense on hairdressers and make up artist’s attempts to make news anchors like Diane Sawyer look forty years younger.
I think the organization previously known as ACORN is hiring.

That's true. But, with Jake Tapper, they have the last broadcast reporter willing to ask tough questions at the WH press briefings. It's not his fault that World News Tonight chooses not to show those questions. But, if you watch the pressers live from time to time, you'll see Tapper gives Gibbs fits.
Is it the high priced talking heads that read the news or is it the people who REALLY work for a living behind the scenes that are getting cut?????

My advice to the MSM. Stop your news divisions and become more like TMZ or entertainment tonight. You are already half way there. The MSM will soon be a truth and content free zone.
She’s on CBS, tho. You are correct though to include her and CBS - her contract is coming up for review this year, and her ratings really suck hard. I could see her salary drop to a couple million.
