I can’t imagine this surprises anyone. Less and less people get their news from ABC and it seems ABC pretty much reports what Mrs. Doubtfire (aka Robert Gibbs) and his staff at the Obama White House faxes over. The budget seems to be to spare no expense on hairdressers and make up artist’s attempts to make news anchors like Diane Sawyer look forty years younger.
That's true. But, with Jake Tapper, they have the last broadcast reporter willing to ask tough questions at the WH press briefings. It's not his fault that World News Tonight chooses not to show those questions. But, if you watch the pressers live from time to time, you'll see Tapper gives Gibbs fits.
