Massive Cuts at ABC News; 300-400 Positions to be Eliminated

ABC News has begun the process of eliminating 300 to 400 positions at the news division by asking employees to participate in a buyout of their services.

In a move that has been rumored for weeks, and coming on the heels of layoffs at CBS News, ABC's cuts are a combination of union and non-union jobs affecting all areas of ABC News.

There may be political elements to some of these layoffs, like targeting the white guy who doesn't "increase diversity" or the gal who was insufficiently enthusiastic about Obama or the boss' pet cause. If that's going on, the media will only get worse.

(This is a reason shrinking the government also won't work if budget cuts leave only the most ruthless, budget-expanding, affirmative action-protected bureaucrats in place.)

We have to make sure these vampaires have stakes in their heart because they are the power behind the elites and Dems. TV is their power. I also do not trust Fox due to Saudi ownership. Murdoch is not to be trusted. Fox is better than the other evil scum.
