“Indeed, for each of those ACLU talking points, then candidate Obama reflected the media outrage and damned these protocols. Yet suddenly, there is no in-depth critical analysis of these policies. Most are now kept and apparently thought by government and media to be of both utility and morality by virtue that Obama adopted them.”
If Steele and the GOP had their heads out of their arses they would be taking advantage of this hypocrisy. They should have undercover groups operating within progressive groups harping about these issues, thereby creating division within the ranks of the National Socialists.

Thanks again Tolik, VDH is fantastic.
Edwards' personal wealth, obtained by using the same theatrics, combined with misleading and dubious facts in the courtroom did not enable him to have any real understanding of how the "tired" and "poor" from other lands had, for over 200 years, helped to create real wealth for their new country and, in the process, they found wealth for themselves--as well as liberty.
Had Edwards been truly interested in helping the poor, he would have studied the moral philosopher Adam Smith's "An Inquiry Into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations," instead of the collectivist ideas of the Democratic Party's Far Left which advocates accumulation of power to men in Washington and coercive involvement in the lives of citizens.
Hypocrisy? Oh, yes! His hometown has produced healers (doctors), educators (teachers), wealth creators (called entrepreneurs), artists and potters, and even an astronaut. For decades, the "mill" which was the object of his scorn provided incomes for families who prospered, farmed, and sent their kids to college with the earnings the then-modern textile enterprise provided. His ego and desire for political power minimized those accomplishments, and all for what?
Compare that with the pride which Palin exudes when she talks about her small home town in Alaska. Her history of working hard in a family business to earn a living, combined with a plunge into local politics in order to improve the lives of the people in her own area is a sharp contrast to the Edwards history.
Somewhere, one picked up a philosophy of individual responsibility and accountability, love of community, pride in country, and the ideas of liberty. The other learned another lesson when he left his home community, and therin lies the difference.
Those stories the MSM conveniently overlooked.
The ref is still reviewing this trying to determine if VDH muffed or fumbled this one. The National Inquirer? Is that a sports rag or just another tab like the Enquirer?
One thing to keep in mind with the PTB and their hangers-on, is that they never really enter the real world, even when they are out of power. A congresscritter may get ouststed from office, but he never, ever gets a job. He's appointed to some board or another, or is given a seat at a foundation, or merely signs on as a lobbiest (sp?) with some firm. Same goes for the bureaucrats you find in positions of power in Washington (and state govs as well). There are revolving doors between their government offices and affected industries to make sure everyone stays on the gravy train.
These people never really live under the laws they expect us to abide by and deal with. It distorts everything they do, because reality never intrudes.
Tell us how you really feel, Professor.
Thanks for the ping, T.
